We are an international center for ceramic art, nature, and organic living. You can help us in the studio, cafe, garden, or with renovating and restoring our inn! We have a working ceramic studio, woodfired kilns, organic garden, cafe, and seven bed and breakfast rooms, across from the train station in the middle of one of the largest hardwood forests in northern Denmark. Janne and Gregory are professional ceramic artists with our studio in our large old inn from 1897, which we will be working on renovating and restoring through summer 2017. Volunteers spend time helping with establishing and maintaining different facilities here. Work varies by season, with outdoor activities, B&B, and cafe during the warmer months, and indoor renovation during the winter. The ceramic studio and gallery are open year round. We are specifically interested in persons with building/construction, graphic, and marketing experience, especially those with experience directing and leading others. We ask volunteers to stay for at least three weeks, and are open to longer stays. We are also looking for longer term assistants in the ceramic studio, with a background and training in the ceramic arts, from around the world. Volunteers have a shared room, shower, and toilet, as well as private space reserved for volunteers. Meals made from scratch with whole ingredients, and produce from the garden, as the season allows.
