We're Mara and Fabrizio and we live with our dogs and cats in a small country house at the top of Monte Sorbo, at 800 meters above sea level, in an unspoiled and almost wild area with a fantastic view over the sea and the mounts.
Our aim is to sustainably run our 5 hectares of land, trying to find solutions for the self-sufficiency of food, water and power.

Our projects are:
- creating tanks and ponds for the water needs
- rainwater harvesting
- building a straw and cob house
- realization of new synergistic garden beds
- planting and reproducing of trees, shrubs and herbs in order to develop an edible forest garden
- creating housing for livestock farming

We're now working on the rain water collection system for the house and garden use, planning to purify water in order to even drink it.
Afterwards, we are planning to build a straw and cob house.

We can host you from spring to autumn in a small camper van (no heating) or in your tents. We're not vegetarians, but our diet basically is.
We speak Italiano, English, Franšais, un poco de Espa˝ol and few basic sentences of Svenska, Deutsch, very little Arabic and Chinese.

Since we don't have connection to the water grid, we use the one we collect with lot of care, with the aim to create a recycling system, so we kindly ask you to use only soap, shampoo, toothpaste, detergents, etc. that we provide, as we know they are safe for the environment. The shower is at the open air and, as long as we don't have any sewage system and no bathroom indoor (for now), we use a compost-toilet close to the house.

The electricity is powered by 4 solar panels (460W) and a micro wind turbine which are enough for the laptop, the internet connection, basic working tools, washing machine and few other appliances.

If you are not frightened of an off-grid rustic experience, we hope to meet you here.
