We are a small farm that will be entering it's 8th year of production. We run a small CSA and go to the market once a week. We use organic practices, but are not certified. We are constantly learning and wanting to try all sorts of interesting techniques that will make our farm as sustainable and healthy as possible.

Together our passions include: food, farming, art, wild-crafting, the outdoors, brewing beer, fermenting stuff, building, music, windsurfing, canoing, biking, canning.

Martin is an artist and got taken on this farming journey by his partner Venessa. Venessa studied Agroecology and got taken on the farming journey, by wanting to add some practical skills to her degree, which led to a great desire to have her own farm, and here we are :)
As an artist, Martin paints, makes short films, builds, puts together cool things that we can use on the farm, he will make wonderfull things out of garbage. Venessa on the other hand uses food as her medium, from growing to cooking to brewing up all sorts of concoctions.

The activities on the farm range from greenhouse care, planting, soil prep, harvesting, building projects, going to the market, working on the CSA newsletter if writing is your thing, compost maintenance, canning and preserving.

The town that the farm is in, is a small village by the water located in the Acadian Peninsula. Lobster, oysters, mackerel and a few other types of fish and shellfish make up the fishing industry in the village. There are nice dunes to explore that are only a small paddle away (~3km), or a quick sail (if we fix our boat that is). Once there, you can enjoy the whole island to yourself (pretty much). On this island you can harvest clams, quahogs and other sea treats. Martin has windsurfing gear, so if you are into that, he would be happy to lend his gear. The farm is located by a wharf where the river opens up in the bay. Being this close to the water, there are lots of things to explore.

We are pretty laid back people in our mid-late thirties. we are driven by our passions, and always find time to have a good time, in fact we always make time, otherwise it wouldn't work. We love having people over, because like we mentioned it's a pretty small town, so it's always nice to have new people come by and share their experiences with us.

Together we speak french-exp English-exp Czech-exp.

We look forward to sharing experiences!
