Welcome, my friend.

Years ago I was a marketing student in Spain. Depressed and extremely unconfident about myself, an amazing and horrifying experience took place in my life, taking away from me everything. No more hope, no more dreams, no more sense, no more life.

And then, Life came in. With all its Magic, with all its Love.

I quit my studies, came to France, and travelled for some time around Europe and Asia, following an inner force that guided me towards a more human and nature loving existence. People, permaculture, biointensive gardening, yoga, meditation, healthy food, music, all came to me with such an obvious and important place in what started to become a happy, simple, rich and meaningful path.

The path is still full of challenges and growth opportunities, and I’m far from living a perfect harmonious life… it just takes some scratching on the surface to realize the sweet contradictions! But despite the present lack of harmony in my life, I’m excited to feel that my intuition and my heart are taking me closer to this harmony, one step after another and sometimes with what might seem like a little step backwards in this amazing dance of life.

So… what is this project?

“Jardin des libellules” is a holistic project whose background mission is to contribute in the transition towards a sustainable, peaceful, free and fulfilled society.

The main goal of the project is to encourage and nourish positive change through the values of ecological awareness, mindfulness, individual and collective effort, creativity, joy and optimism, in a place where Human and Nature can flourish, as these are the sources of the Meaning, the Beauty and the Magic of Life.

On a 3 hectares "L" shaped piece of land, with a gentle and peaceful energy, surrounded to the south by the mountains and to the north by the forest, the "Jardin des Libellules" is starting to become real.

This community garden is worked with care, trying to ally human, animal and plants energy. The soil is worked with an interesting blend of no-dig, permaculture and bio-intensive techniques, using simple hand tools in a way that respects and takes care of the soil's life and of the people who work the land.

This will be a place to share knowledge and tools to help us evolve and grow, through yoga, meditation, qigong, sophrologie, etc.

This is a space to connect heartfully with yourself and others.

Depending on the time of year you wish to come, these are the different things you can help with and learn about:

Taking care of a permaculture and biointensive garden (mulching, weeding, watering, sowing, transplanting, harvesting, making compost tea, etc.)
Building (using natural materials like wood, cob and stone as much as possible) different projects coming, compost toilets, cob oven…
Taking care of the homestead (cleaning and cooking (mostly vegetarian and vegan is always an option), chopping wood for the winter, repairing things…)
Bringing your magic (if you have the impulse to create something that you feel is harmonious with the place, please feel free!)
Preserving food…

When you are here you are an equal part of this, and you are giving and taking what feels right to you. This place shines at it’s best when people enjoy taking care of it. Early mornings are the perfect time to meet and see what needs to be done and to take care of the garden. Afternoons are a perfect time for finding and enjoying your own space, there are many books, music instruments and some games available, also beautiful surroundings. late afternoons until dinner are also a good time to take care of the garden or other ongoing projects, but often also a great moment to go to the river or visit some interesting places and friends around. You should always feel encouraged to listen to what feels right to you.

So if my words speak to you, and you want to be part of this little community, let me know, and I'll get to you with all the other information you want to know.

With gratitude for you reading me,
Jorge
