*Update March 5, 2020:
We are looking for volunteers able to start immediately and into the future. For volunteers who are available immediately, when you contact us please indicate where you are now, how you are travelling (car?4x4?), and if you have a phone number/skype account we can contact you on (we prefer phone number).

We are a community of inspired, clear minded individuals creating a relational-centered, sustainable lifestyle that we have found naturally catalyzes the evolution of human consciousness. We are enabling the old paradigm to fade away by not fighting against life as it is.

Our off-grid organic farm is located on a pristine 23-acre property, 15 minutes West of Nelson, in the West Kootenays, British Columbia. We operate out of an 1800 sq. ft, geo-solar Earthship. We have organic community gardens and orchard featuring 30-inch insulated raised beds.

Our intention at Chuckleberry is to provide an opportunity for volunteers to have a hands on experience of service in a community setting.

Our Farm requires a minimum stay of one month so people are best able to fully integrate into the community lifestyle. Staying three months is preferred. Ask us about longer stays.

We provide a simple, quality, organic, mostly vegetarian diet, some of which comes from our gardens and greenhouse.

Things to do in the area include hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and skiing. The West Kootenays offer rich, alternative culture, many amazing musicians and performers, arts and social events. We go into Nelson several times a week and there are rides available off-site.

How to get here:
•Rideshare - Kootenay, Craigslist, Kijiji, Poparide
•Fly - airport in Castlegar
