Off the grid, fly-in only family homestead located in Lake Clark National Park & Preserve in SW Alaska, 13 miles northeast of Port Alsworth. Access to Park & Preserve via foot, boat, or canoe. Two weeks per stay. Work may involve chain sawing and carpentry, wood cutting, gardening, and cutting brush. Insurance required. Ideal for two friends or a couple. Accommodations: private cabin with wood heat. Outhouse for toilet, showers avail. in separate bath house. Work details: 6 hours a day, 5 days work for 2 days off. Recreation may include hiking, boating, fishing (grayling, pike). Canoe and some camping gear avail. Meals will include fresh salmon (late July, early Aug.only) and organic garden veggies. English lessons avail. from former ESL teacher. Will pick up helpers from and deliver to Port Alsworth. Contact me for transportation options to and from Anchorage.
