Dear Volunteers, we are looking for an enthusiastic guy to help set up our garden in october 2019. Who is up to it?

The work involves quite a bit of maintenance and physical work as well as work with animals. We need to set up our garden which was destroyed by the pigs.

We are looking for independent people who are not afraid to work hard and learn a lot of new concepts (holistic farming, permaculture) as we have quite some challenges this year. The work is 70% maintenance and 30% new projects.

Since we now belong to an NGO our goals are to combine production with conservation. We have cows, sheep and horses that we manage holistically with a protocol called GRASS.

At the same time we have about 18 scientific projects taking place on the farm studying native and exotic flora and fauna. They are as diverse as studying the eradication of pine trees, willows, rose hip, the impact on the native endemic Tuco Tuco, the behaviour of animals, hydrologic studies or grassland studies with the help of satellites.

We offer a cute cabin with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen that you might share with other volunteers. You cook your own food and we provide you weekly with groceries. The program runs from sep- march and the minimum stay is one month.

We aim for our volunteers to learn about all aspects of the holistic management on the farm and help out with the scientific projects whenever the opportunity arises.

The ranch is located in between the mountains and the steppe with a hilly landscape, forest, fields and rivers.

This is an ideal opportunity for travelers who are looking to settle down from their trip for a while and like nature and quiet. If you like to use your hands, work independently, love nature and small animals this will be a great experience.

On the ranch live a family with three boys and 2 more ranch hands. We are 10 minutes away by car to Dina Huapi (extension of Bariloche) which offers supermarkets, post office, ATM, sports, culture and arts. From Dina Huapi buses go every 20 min to Bariloche.
