Our farm is a wonderful place where people of all ages can learn about sustainable organic farming, food processing, cooking, baking, taking care of animals and living in community! All in the beautiful setting of the Kootenay mountains (South Slocan area). We have organic gardens, small greenhouses, goats, sheep, cows, chickens, turkeys...

We live together - several families and single people - all year round. We have an amazing life here and we want to share it with you. We have a wholesome, clean life; no drugs or alcohol use is permitted.

We are looking for help from people who wish to learn about and support sustainable living! This is a full-on experience. Consider it like a cultural immersion. We live quite a bit differently from modern society so you will be interested if you are looking for an alternative.

We are also looking for people who may wish to stay on permanently as a member of our community!

Guests are frequent all year round and we would love to have you join us. Whether you come for a day or come to stay, our hearts and our farm will always have room for more.

We love to teach and pass on what we have learned and what we are learning! Come learn together with us!

Volunteer work is based on areas of interests, abilities, our needs and availability. Work may include many things such as: chopping wood, gardening, planting, greenhouse, farm stand, animal care, help in the house, general maintenance...

We have both our farm and our restaurant where you will have opportunity to help. Our kitchen is always bustling with lots of room for helpers.

*Looking for help this winter with dishes, preps and cooking in the restaurant!

*There are also opportunities to help now with carpentry projects.

There is never a shortage of activities to participate in, so you will never find yourself bored!

Activities may vary depending on the time of year.

Please note: Every one of us, whether guests or residents, are volunteers. There is no financial compensation offered for any work done. We agree to provide you with three meals a day and housing in exchange for your volunteer work. No drugs or alcohol use permitted.

All meals are provided, we have community gatherings every morning and evening. Sustainable living begins with sustainable relationships!

We have cabins with separate men's and women's living quarters. Wood heat. Showers available. Wifi available on request at our café in Nelson.

By saying we are a "community", we do not mean a loose association of individuals in a common geographical location, but rather a large extended family of married couples, single people, and children sharing a common social, spiritual, and economic goal. That goal is to create a life of care and growth for the common good of all. We live a life dedicated to sustainable practices, primarily focused on our relationships with one another. We also teach about our spiritual way of life based on the original teachings of Yahshua the Messiah. To make this a daily reality, we eat all our meals together, gather morning and evening, with weekend celebrations, sing, dance, and offer a community prayer to the One who makes this life possible. We ask that volunteers would attend all gatherings and meals, with a desire to respect and learn from our way of life together.
