Aloha! We live & work on a beautiful 2 acre, edible tropical fruit orchard & family garden in the Puna (Pahoa)area of the Big Island. The property is an orchard with many fruit tress: avocados, bananas, citrus, lychee, breadfruit, and other fruits youíve never heard of! The garden includes greens, beans, taro, squash, pineapple, herbs and other veggies rotated.

Our main projects this year are fixing up 2 remodel houses. We would like some carpenters to assist with this. We have a couple of assistants but would like someone with experience to guide on these projects. We are hard working and fun people. We want to encourage people looking for a clean & productive lifestyle to come and check it out. We can provide food and comfortable living circumstances.

We do a variety of activities related to the upkeep of the property and meditation center which may include construction repairs, landscaping, gardening. We want people to learn useful life skills that they can apply in their lives. We occasionally leave for the ocean before sunrise for swimming, then return for a chanting meditation & breakfast. We work from 9am-4pm about 4 to 5 days a week. You are welcome to go on outings to explore the island a couple of days a week. Three evenings we go to our friendís homes or farm for a communal dinner & congregational chant. Other activities include: yoga, guitar lessons, lei making, trips to the farmerís market in town. Accommodations include a variety of shared rooms and cabins available on a first come, first served basis. We have several bathrooms & kitchen facilities available, indoor & outdoor. We share the cooking, all vegetarian ingredients provided. We are a drug and alcohol free environment. We put an emphasis on cleanliness & proper hygiene. English is the main language spoken. Length of stay varies upon how happy you are to be here & how happy we are to host you. We hope people will come like foreign exchange students, interested in learning about our lifestyle and becoming one of the family, not so much in counting hours & using our place like a hostel. We look forward to meeting with you and working together.
Much Aloha & Haribol!
