A 160 acre, off-grid, egalitarian intentional community located among the majestic mountains and rivers on Gitxsan Territory in Hazelton, BC.

Our vision is to create a working example of earth based, cooperative living in hopes to create space for individual and collective transformation.

Our mission is to serve as an example and actively promote lifestyles and technologies that are truly sustainable, and to make these sustainable technologies accessible to all persons regardless of their income or social position.

Some of our values are open communication, egalitarianism, self-sufficiency, social and environmental justice, cooperation and the willingness to resolve conflict.

We are 100% off-grid, we do not have running water, we catch rainwater and haul drinking water, we have compost toilets, and limited shower and internet access.

Are you interested in working on a hybrid earthship building?

Does camping out with a beautiful mountain view excite you?

Can you dedicate yourself to be a conscience and clear communicator?

Do you want to experience the wild beauty of Northern British Columbia?

Come join us for a work trade! As a community, we are a compilation of many hands, and we welcome hands from all walks of life to join us.

We expect a minimum of 5 hours of work a day, 6 days a week from our worktraders, and it痴 likely that if you fully engage yourself in what we have going on, you値l be doing more without even realizing it. Work will mainly be helping us build a hybrid earthship, but will also range from garden building, growing and storing food, wild harvesting, working with firewood, resource gathering, trail building, child care to any other number of things. Our lives can sometimes be hectic and there will be days you値l be in charge of motivating and supervising yourself. We like people who take initiative and are just as excited about seeing new possibilities as we are.

You値l be living outside, sleeping in a tent, cooking in an outdoor kitchen, and working outdoors. Currently there is limited water but we値l have running water soon. You will not have regular access to a conventional shower or toilet. We eat our meals together and take turns cooking. If you池e not comfortable cooking over flame, ask one of us and we値l show you!

We are looking for volunteers to come hang out and help build our communal earthship from May to October.

The nearest train station (Via Rail) is in New Hazelton and we can pick up volunteers if arrangements are made ahead of time. The nearest airports are in Smithers and Terrace and buses run right by our place from these cities - we will meet you where they drop you off!
