My partner and I steward a lovely acreage in the Cowichan Valley, named "Sankta Amo". In the spirit of social and environmental permaculture, we seek to create a living experience for those of us that that live here.

Since our land was left unattended for a number of years, here are some things we would love help from by those who are skilled/interested in:

- establishing, expanding and maintaining organic garden beds and plantings.
- developing and maintaining trails and sanctuary areas.
- doing a bit of finish carpentry work and painting inside and outside the main house.
- cooking meals and cleaning.
- putting in water and electrical ditch
- landscaping and clean up

If any of the above interest you, or fit your skills, please let us know.

Our preferred helpers are a couple (more than one person), staying for 7 to 21 days. Options to stay longer for the right fit. We have a guest room with a private entrance, full bathroom, wifi and a queen bed. We also have room for a trailer or other mobile accommodation. Meals will be provided in the main house with Michael and I. We can accommodate gluten free and vegetarian, however animal proteins will also be prepared.

We live about 10 minutes (by car, there is minimal bus service) to downtown Duncan. It is a 3 hour drive to Tofino with its majestic beaches on the west coast of Vancouver island, 1 hour drive to Victoria and a ferry to the USA, a short ferry ride to quaint Salt Spring Island and very close to the Cowichan River (swimming and tubing) and Cowichan Lake. Mt. Prevost, with its beautiful views of the entire area, is close by.
