Founded in 1927, as a retreat center on Orcas Island in Washington State. Its 78 acres of forest, meadows and trails is situated along of a mile of shoreline. The camp offers a wide variety of programs for people of all ages. In addition, there is also guided meditation, trails to explore, a labyrinth, a small bookshop, and a well-stocked metaphysical library.

On the site there are over 30 buildings, a commercial kitchen, an organic vegetable garden and an heirloom orchard. We are seeking volunteers for all our different departments: housekeeping, kitchen, garden, light maintenance. You may be asked to work in a variety of areas. Volunteers are expected to work 5 hours a day, 6 days per week in exchange for accommodation, food, and access to programs and activities when time allows. Housing is in rustic, unplumbed cabins sometimes shared with another volunteer. A heated bathhouse is situated nearby. Meals are primarily vegan with some vegetarian items available during breakfast. No meat, alcohol, cigarettes, recreational drugs, and domesticated pets are allowed on the premises. We ask for a minimum commitment of 2 weeks.

We are committed to a theosophical worldview: a reverence for life, compassion for all, sympathy with the need of individuals to find truth for themselves and respect for every religious tradition. We encourage volunteers to participate in the life here with an open spirit of service and community.
