**Help needed with eco-construction, infrastructure, water projects and organic gardens**

Winter is here and it is a super busy time in the mountains!

Helpers from all over this planet are welcome to the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Granada Province, Spain to help and to learn about eco living

Great opportunity to learn about growing rare vegetables and eco-building a traditional stone cortijo

We are starting a large biological, organic, vegetable garden with heritage seed and have new fruit and nut trees, woodlands and waterways to look after

We need helpers now that the weather is perfect for work sessions and camping out in the cool under the stars and Milky Way at night

This year the focus is mainly on eco-building with stone although help with the vegetable gardens, fruit trees and general assiatance with food preparation and other domestic and farm tasks is also appreciated

Founded by a music industry man who built or modified his previous houses to include small music workshops but always ended up with large music workshops and no house, this project is the culmination of many years hard work to finally combine the art of healthy living with the art of dirty distorted but cleanly powered music

Come and join us!

Volunteers must be prepared to adapt to an Andalucian country ecological way of living

Exciting new permaculture project in stunning location bordering the Sierra Nevada National Park at an altitude of approx 4900ft (1300-1500m) above sea level

We are restoring an ancient organic cortijo which has been deserted for more than 45 years. Ongoing long term projects include rebuilding infrastructure and facilities, re-establishing organic vegetable plots and gardens, re-planting plus woodland and soil management. We are maintaining and restoring the traditional stone cortijo (farmhouse). Loads of re-discovery. Every day brings new wonders from the bio-diversity of nature, the uncovering of past history and abundance

Current practical projects include establishing facilities, preparing seed beds and vegetable plots, eco-building using mostly on site materials. Water works including acequia (Moorish water channels) and alberqua (pond) restoration, irrigation and supply, building bridge crossings, general farm maintainance, seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting, and composting

Peacful, isolated location but good communication links to the outside world. Perfect centre for tranquility, meditation and walks into both the High Sierra and Alpujarra. The nearest pueblo, Trevelez is a tourist attraction, being the highest village in Iberia and a functional centre providing facilities and transport.

All food is vegetarian and we love cooking our own diverse Spanish, Morroccan, Indian, S.E. Asian, Italian and Mediterranean dishes. We`ll grow as much as possible on the farm and will bake our own breads

While establishing facilities we are more or less outdoor and indoor camping on site. More means sleeping inside the structure on mats. Middle means camping. Less means sleeping under the stars. Bring a tent or whatever and join the experience
