We are a small winery and Agri-tourism business located on the Similkameen River in the sunny South Okanagan, BC, Canada. We are overlooked by the spectacular Chopaka Mountains and neighbor BC’s Grassland Desert Park. Vineglass Vintner’s Resort offers unforgettable help exchange experiences. With deep connections to the land through the vineyard, local agriculture and surroundings it enriches not only visitors’ vacations but also their whole outlook on food and wine–creating an experience and lifelong memories.

Helpers work 6 hours a day, 6 days a week in the winery, vineyard, veggie & ornamental gardens as well as helping with operations of our small 3 room resort, in exchange for board and all meals. Proprietor Roger Hol has a lifetime of farming and wine making experience. Winery work includes helping with tending vines (pruning, tucking, thinning, weeding), picking grapes and wine production (e.g. crushing, pressing, cleaning and punching down). Plus of course, the all-important tasting along the way. Our current winery is a 3-year-old award winning family business.

Our vegetable production is a new venture here and work will include field preparation, construction of raised beds, planting, weeding and harvesting & preserving.

The resort has 3 guest rooms and we require general help with the checking in of guests, laundry, housekeeping, food prep/cooking, pool/hot tub maintenance, plus other hospitality/resort/event planning/marketing/computer tech. tasks as needed.

Helpers will have a private room in our helpers’ wing and will enjoy meals prepared together in our guest kitchen. The resort has an excellent wifi signal and helpers will have access to our guest facilities, which include a pool, kayaks and bicycles. Helpers are encouraged to be hosts for our guests and are welcome to just relax on our beach by the river , by the pool or watch the local wildlife including trying to spot the beaver family who live in a habitat beside our property. There is great hiking in the area, local indigenous culture and many summer events (music, food, markets, wine tasting) for time off or accompanying host or guests.
