This is a residential workshop centre run by a partnership. It is essentially a holistic eco centre with a musical and healing theme. This partnership has three members. The Centre endeavours to create a community atmosphere and relies on working guests throughout the year. At any one time there may be up to 6 working guests although the current average is two or three.

This place is situated off the beaten track in a natural bogland setting between Lisdoonvarna (2 miles) and Kilfenora (3 miles) in the North of County Clare. It lies at the foot of the beautiful Burren area, just 6 miles from a stunning coastline and in the heart of the traditional Irish music scene. Both nearby towns have shops, internet cafes, tourist facilities and bars. There are bus routes from each of the towns the nearest large town is Ennis (approximately one hour on the bus). Work guests can be picked up from Lisdoonvarna.

The complex incorporates the House, Octagon Hall, a small hall with pottery and wood gasification boiler and accommodation blocks. We are not strictly speaking a farm although we have chickens, and a number of horses grazing on the land . It has a very small orchard and fruit garden, a herb garden and several large organic vegetable garden patches with a sizable poly tunnel. We also have grounds - 50 acres of natural bogland where the horses graze with a large stone circle (made by the drummers). This has been developed as a more accessible recreation area in keeping with the activities of the centre. The work involves land clearing, drainage, ditch clearing, fencing, path laying and building of natural structures. The currently tamed sections of the grounds also need maintenance, weeding, mowing and tidying. We have two labyrinths, almost finished our firs Cob building with a second on the way and want to create a Barfuss trail.

Work at the Centre is varied and interesting and a good experience is guaranteed. We are a friendly bunch and we endeavour to create a community atmosphere. We accommodate and cater for guests from all over the world both paying and working. No experience is necessary just a willingness to learn and help. There is also a range of opportunities that you can engage in as well as work music, pottery, self development and loads of games, jigsaws and books. Local sights and attractions include the unique limestone landscape of the Burren for walking and hiking, swimming in the bays, surfing the crashing waves, visiting ancient sights, the caves, the Cliffs of Moher, sampling the wonderful traditional Irish music in the pubs, plus much more!
