Aloha to all, By now its obvious that because of the corona virus, Everything is temporarily on hold..I live on the big island and most people are in isolation or self quarantine to stop the spread of the virus. Perhaps we will get time in the future when our societies are all recovered and without the fear of this pandemic.....therefore I will leave my post for that time. Feel free to contact me for a future chance.

I'd really like some willing farmhands to help me. This beautiful organic farm is on the outskirts of wood valley on the big island. It is completely off the grid here. It's very peaceful here and picturesque.

I ask for 4 hours of work from each person, for 5 days, followed by 2 days off to do whatever exploring you want.

Some of the tasks include: tending the organic garden; planting weeding fertilizing, planting coffee, and many other plants. Some construction, (that would be a plus) and in general helping with daily chores. Mainly, I need help clearing and enlarging and replanting the garden. Some of the big plans for this year are to maintain the usually producing organic garden, weed, mulch and fertilize the half acre of coffee, build the walls out of bamboo to the outdoor hot water shower and help build a closet.

The last picture I posted is the communal tent It's definitely not fancy but it is fully equipped. It has a Propane Refrigerator, a Propane Stove (I usually ask for a donation for the propane refrigerator..(propane). itís worth it but not mandatory) a sink with running water on a cabinet, the small table 2 chairs, a couch. It also has two solar lights inside. Since the beginning of 14 years ago I still only have an out house but I keep it very clean and cover everything with Mulch.

It is completely off the grid here. (I always pay for the propane for the shower and the cook stove propane in the communal tent).
There is a Tibetan Buddhist temple 1 mile from here, Punalu'u black sand beach is a 15 minute drive from here, where the turtles reside. And thank goodness now that the volcano has stopped a while ago the Volcano national Park, one of my favorite places, has reopened.

I welcome single individuals and also small groups, where much can happen. I ask that you bring a tent to sleep in. and your bedding. or get it here in Hawaii after you arrive.

I provide most of the essential basic vegetarian foods ie. dry beans, rice, quinoa, oil, vinegar , onions garlic, tomato sauce, spaghetti, potatoes. There is a farmers market in the next town once a week. Hopefully the garden is producing...
So please consider helping here on my land. It will be highly appreciated.
thank you
