This farm is located in a remote valley tucked in the mountains of Northern California. I have a beautiful Straw Bale home providing a secondary community kitchen and living room as well as a primary community kitchen located elsewhere on the property. There is an outdoor shower and bath available. We have dogs, cats, and chickens and are looking forward to getting milking goats and llamas.

We love building soil using permaculture techniques such as sheet mulching and watching the worms multiply! Building compost piles using biodynamic techniques such as inoculation with BD preps are a focus. We are continually creating more garden space and are experimenting with alternative irrigation methods for water conservation. We will be building an herbal mandala, more keyhole gardens, medicine wheels, and reinforcing existing garden beds of vegetables, herbs and cut flowers. Weeding is on-going!

We will be going to our local farmers market weekly with plant starts, raw delights and other fun things... (subject to change weekly).

We will have the opportunity to visit other local farms and gain diverse farming experiences through volunteering/work parties.

We keep bees, Honey harvest happens late summer. It truly is... a sweet process :)

We'll also be wildcrafting and harvesting cultivated medicinals for steam-distilling essential oils and hydrosols! I'm very excited to share this amazing process of making medicine with those eager to learn! Yoga is offered in the yurt several times weekly, along with occasional workshops.

There are endless sustainable building projects including clay oven building, plastic bottle building, and cobb and earthen plaster shower walls.

You will have 20-25 hrs of work per week, depending on needs of the farm. Biodegradable/biocompatible materials only (including all personal hygiene items such as toiletries, shampoos, toothpastes, etc).

There's a small cedar cabin, a bus and plenty of tent space available.

Staple foods are provided by farm, (organic, non-GMO). Responsibilities of meal preparation and clean up is shared.

There is a small town a couple miles from the farm with a grocery store, healthy cafe with small selection of healthy food choices and great organic treats, local farmers market, gas station, library, coffee shop, community radio, thrift store, bank, music venues, great community and awesome river swimming!
