Hi. We are located in the sunny south east of Ireland in Co. Wexford. Our property of approx. 100 acres is truly unique, a real one-off gem with a beautiful long sandy beach of over 2 km with direct private beach access. There are lots of wonderful woodland walkways through the property, plenty of animals micro pigs, ducks, pheasants, chickens, Shetland ponies. The entire property is a nature reserve.
You will have your own lovely small cottage on site with every modern convenience. We are looking for people to assist with the day to day activities for 5 days a week for approx. 6 hours per day. Accommodation provided, together with food which you will mostly cook for yourself. Unfortunately there is no WIFI. It is a really special place and offers a tranquil, peaceful and delightful environment for the right person. The nearest village, Kilmuckridge is 3km away and WiFi is available there, nearest town is Gorey (18 km) and Dublin is approx. 90 mins drive. There is lots to do in Wexford cultural, sporting and for leisure. There are quad bikes, bicycles and kayaks all on site for you to enjoy and great fishing just off our beach. Plus in the sunny south east we get the best weather in Ireland!

The Position is to help out and assist in the nature reserve with gardening duties, woodland work, undergrowth clearance, maintenance and repair, planting of trees, planting of wild bulbs, looking after the animals, reserve projects, pond cleaning, building walls, harvesting wild fruits, building fences, repairs to roads, property maintenance, caring for our gardens, woods, and fauna and collecting data on birds and wildlife.
Knowledge of how to work in construction or with chainsaws, strimmers or carpentry would be a real advantage.

You should be a good communicator, responsible and trustworthy, with a deep enthusiasm and passion for wildlife, conversation, trees, and natures. You must be able to speak English well and work on your own initiative.

Ability to drive with a clean Licence would be helpful as there are neighbouring reserves in Co. Wicklow where similar work is carried out at times.

If this exchange position is of interest to you please email us with your details and history of work you have done or any queries you might have. We look forward to hearing from you. Thanks for reading.
