It's been our pleasure to host and share travel stories with over 60 volunteers from all over the world. Many of the volunteers have kept in touch with us and some have returned to visit. Our 12 acre hobby farm is located in the heart of Saanich Peninsula on Vancouver Island. Come and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of our little piece of paradise!

What kind of work?
WILL very much depend on WEST COAST season.....
. For example, we harvest our blueberries in July and August, and our orchard and vineyard in September. Other tasks throughout the year are animal care, gardening, preserving and canning fruits, help in the house, general property maintenance, including chores in the barn/like scooping the poo/, chopping fire wood, weeding gardens, picking up manure, and, assistance with property improvement projects, such as, fence building, painting, and building animal shelters.

Volunteers have deluxe accommodations in a private self-contained CABIN with amazing ocean and mountain views. The CABIN is located on the farm in open pastures among our sheep grazing, with lambs in the early spring adding to your enjoyment. Included is a fully equipped kitchen , , separate sleeping quarters with bunk beds, all linens, and a 3-piece bathroom.Volunteer also will share this deluxe accommodation and we ONLY take 2 people/ if we have a one person in time..... person she or he will get a roommate/. Enjoy a spectacular sunrise from the kitchen each morning with your first cup of coffee.
Our farm is located in Saanichton, B.C., 20km north of downtown Victoria. Public transit is 3km from our Farm and bikes are available to our volunteers. The Saanich Peninsula consists of small communities including, Sidney, North Saanich & Central Saanich, Bentwood Bay and Deep Cove. The Victoria Airport, BC Ferry Terminal and the Institute of Ocean Sciences are all located within the Saanich Peninsula.
THINGS TO DO
Vancouver Island hosts a variety of activities and attractions, such as Whale-watching, Canada's oldest Chinatown, the B.C. legislature and the Fairmont Empress Hotel, Victoria's magnificent Inner Harbour landmarks, salmon fishing charters, Sidney's Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre, the Butchart Gardens, and of course hiking, kayaking and biking Vancouver Island's 3,500km of ocean coastline, 700 lakes, 160 rivers and 890 streams. These waterways are located amid spectacular West Coast scenery and are shared by an abundance of marine creatures and wildlife

We would like to host volunteers, (maximum of double-occupancy)minimum 2 weeks stay, with an option to extend their stay. ..
We expect FIVE/5/hours per day in Return for meals,your own fully furnished and private cabin with benefits like Free WIFI and bikes.

We love to cook and enjoy sharing culinary experiences from around the world.In this moment/NOVEMBER / we are looking for a person,who would like to stay a little longer,then 2 weeks..If this is what you are looking for, then our place will be great place for you to stay....Maybe till mid of December?It will be all up to you....
Your daily schedule for THIS TIME of the YEAR will be a short Farm shores, a some housecleaning with helping me prepared the house for a Christmas season/indoor Christmas trees/to be set up. ______________________________________________
Volunteers are responsible for preparing their breakfasts and lunches during their stay in the cabin Basic food are provided. .The dinners are available with a host family inside the farm house,or you make your own inside the cabin./Monday-Friday//Saturday and Sunday we ask you to spend less,then 1 hour/anytime during that day/with cleanup our Alpacas and small sheep barn.Rest of the days/Sat.and Sunday are free to explore our city.
ARRIVAL SCHEDULE: We like to schedule a arrival of helpers on SUNDAY,thus starting you work on Monday till Friday and leaving Saturday
We also pick-up our helpers from BUS STOP in Saanichton as we drop-you off after you will depart to your next journey destination.
You do your own laundry in the public Laundromat,5 minutes by bike from our Farm.
