We will need helpers starting in mid-May and through the summer.

Our farm is a small (8 acre) organic vegetable farm located in the San Pedro Valley near Benson, Arizona.

We are a production farm, currently growing a variety of vegetables for sale in farmers markets in the nearby Tucson metropolitan area, to our CSA shareholders, to restaurants, and to a few institutions.

Activities at our farm include plant propagation, bed preparation, planting, cultivating and harvesting of vegetables, along with washing and packing for the market and CSA shares.

We also are involved in various infrastructure projects such as drainage management and irrigation system development and high tunnel modification, among others.

Our suggested length of stay is one month up to six months.

Our expectations for include assistance primarily with agricultural activities for 30 hours per week in exchange for accommodations and food. We currently have accommodations for 3 in two travel trailers.

We can provide transportation to the farm from Tucson or Benson. The language spoken at the farm is English. We are not able to accept children or pets at this time.

The setting of the farm is exquisite. We have ever-changing views of 4 mountain ranges and the weather that flows around them. The night sky is amazing. We are at the end of a dirt road and the farm property abuts state trust land. One can hike directly from the farm into a beautiful high-desert ecoregion.

We are part of a local community of small-to-medium-sized organic farms across southeast Arizona who are working to create a resilient local food system.

We are actively developing new markets, determining an optimal mix of crops, cultivating fruit trees, planning to plant grape vines, and practicing permaculture to the extent possible, among many other activities. There are abundant opportunities to learn and to contribute.
