Hello dear HelpXer and thank you for your interest in our lovely stone farm.

This farm has been run by the Rasmussen family for 20 years and is now a very diverse organic-mekka in the region. Here we have:
- 5 hectares with over 100 kinds of vegetables
- 3000 egg laying hens
- 50 grass-fed meat cows
- 100 hectares of grain and clover
- 50'000'000 bees :)
- A teenage dog, Ronja

Everything we produce is sold through our own organic supermarket and café/restaurant.
This sales model enables us to have a very biodiverse farm and focus on old and nutritious varieties - and work very hard :)
We believe in biodiversity and an self sufficient on-farm cycle. We don't buy in any fertilizers and are almost self sufficient in feed for both the hens and the cows.

Coming here as a volunteer you will get a very hands-on experience on how to run a successful small-scale farm - and get an understanding of the work that is needed.

The work here is very diverse and you'll get to experience a lot of different and interesting things!

Examples of tasks:
Vegetables: Seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting and making ready for the shop.
Animals: Feeding, packing eggs, clean in the stables.
Of course everything is very seasonal.
You work 5 days and have two days off, and sometimes there will be work on weekends. We start at 8 o'clock sharp :)

On the farm there's an newly built volunteer-apartment with 4 private rooms and a shared kitchen/living room. Rooms for singles and couples.

We provide a 10 o'clock coffee 'n snack and lunch at 13:00. You prepare the other meals yourself but you can take whatever you need from our organic supermarket.

Wwoofers usually/always eat together, therefore it's important that if you decide to come here - you must be able to cook and clean. We usually eat together the whole farm twice a week, once where the owners prepare the meal and once where the volunteers prepare.

In the spare time there's tons to do! Sleeping, eating, hanging out, write poetry. Run in the forest, go to the lake, take the train to Copenhagen or the famous museum Louisiana.
We have bikes that you can borrow :)

We look very much forward to hearing from you!
