Life is a book and if you don't travel you only read the first page...or less...
In December 2005 I was very fortunate to travel abroad for two years after finishing school. I met a lot of people and formed lifelong friendships with a few people from all around the globe, Learned more in those two years than the12 years in school....
I return back to South Africa in December 2007 and started the journey like every other young South African in a career, I over excelled in every career position I faced, thus was I very successful very young, I became a financial manager at BMW and stagnated in that position for the last three years. The reason I'm sharing this because I feel/know that the experiences and knowledge I gained was from meeting new people from all over the world and formed me into this special individual.
NOW- Back back to the present:
In these years back in South Africa I got married to the most beautiful, clever, one-of-a-kind girl that supports me and build me up every day!
Our baby girl was born on 11 November 2015, and this again from what I have learned and seen throughout my life made me decide to change my surroundings and career in order to spend more time with my family wife and daughter. Luckily for us my wife's parents owns A game farm in the beautiful Waterberg mountains in the northern province of South Africa.
The ranch consists of three parts:
International trophy hunting safaris which only cater for international hunters.
The second part is horse training facility which consist of training and caring for problem horses.
And the third training camp in which we train dogs for basic discipline and tracking, in which we support the community around, needs our help.eg: escaped farm animals lost hikers and many more.
Thus have we decided to move to the farm and start a new life.
My in-laws has been managing the farm and its activities by themselves for the last five years.
After being here now for 14 months we have renovated three bush cabins and plan on building two more as we are also now involved with schools nationally doing survival camps walk safaris and Boot Camp's. This said my father-in-law is a recognised worldwide in the Safari communities on his knowledge on wild animals plants tracking in survival techniques. It's a way of life for him i see every day when I'm with him just by looking at him in the wild I learn every moment.
All this said every day on the farm is relaxed,no set hours of working only monthly weekly goals we set for ourselves, I believe anyone will enjoy the atmosphere and will learn a lot, either its from horses, game or training dogs,,and still have fun doing it!!
Also I believe that we all do not think alike and can learn from each other either it's about building, Technology, environment, politics, thinking and the list goes on.
And therefore invite any free minded adventuristic open to anything person to come visit and exchange experiences with us here on the farm.
So if you want to learn about horses, dogs, game and bring new ideas on developing further here on the farm, The sky is the limit here! We can do anything here as long as it's positive for the environment community and mainly for the people here on the farm you are welcome any day.
Be prepared to also share your time and heritage with the most beautiful happy adorable baby girl whilst you are here.
I want my baby daughter to experience and learn from interesting new people from around the world as I have very early in her life!
Looking forward to those coming!!
Oooh yes, you can whatsapp me also on +27 79 66 181 3047 its easier sometimes!! Happy volunteering in 2018...
