I, on a complete whim, went out and bought a Hurley 22 yesterday (May 7th). An ocean worthy sailing boat from 1978 built in Plymouth!
She's lovely but quite "minimal" interior wise. It would be interesting and fun to see what kind of help I could get to not only spruce her up on the inside but on the outside too. Any suggestions are welcome!

I suppose the projects would range from sewing up some pretty curtains and matching pillow cases to building a decent electrical solution, to applying varnish to the wood details. Maybe just coming out for a weekend and giving all the ins and outs a good clean would be your jive too, and it would definitely be most appreciated.

Like I said, any suggestions welcome!

(***NO Helpers Needed atm for the cottage***)
(We have issues with our family that aren't too comfortable having "strangers" around the cottage this summer, although I wanted to leave the listing for future reference and for the autumn-winter).

Our cottage in Stockholm's archipelago needs some serious TLC from a caring and self-motivated individual (or two).

Not far from Sandhamn lays the picturesque cottage perched on a hill overlooking the sea. It's been in the same family since the 50's, and due to recent hardships the place feels run down... two winters worth of leaves, twigs, cones and branches are scattered over the whole property. Plants are wilted, the fence is broken in places, and "useful junk" inhabit all corners of the property.

The work is easy really, maybe even meditative for the right type of person. Finding order in chaos is your jive, and seeing spaces transform brings you joy and calm. To the wrong person this sounds ridiculous, "it's just labour" but to the right person, someone like me (but with more time on their hands, and maybe in a different time of life) this sounds like a few weeks of peace and quiet while accomplishing completely tangible results.

I'm open to most suggestions, maybe you fancy coming out for a weekend to sweep up some leaves and sort out some cones, or maybe you want to get away from city life for a few weeks, to clear your mind and live simply while leading your own clearing up project.

I'd expect nothing less than the space you live in to be clean, be it the main cottage or the guest cottage, and honestly I'm weary of drinkers and so if you can't see yourself not getting by without a drink, maybe this isn't a good fit.

Before sending me a message, think for a moment about what it is you want me to know about you and what it is you can do for this place, you only have one chance to make a first impression... so make it count.
