Cosy house with one guestroom and a small olive yard mixed with subtropical plants and trees. 3 rescued dogs and a cat.
Short stays 2-3 weeks. Help needed with gardening, general maintenance and pet care (in 2020 10 m2 wall tiling or rendering with loam/cob, fencing in the garden)
In October every year turning over the compost heap.
In November help with the olive harvest is very welcome: pick the olives, prune the trees, process the pruned branches into firewood and kindle, burn the non compostable left overs of a whole year's gardening.

The house is situated in a small secluded village with only 13 inhabitants, in central Portugal. From the house various short walks can be made off road, also longer walks with description available. Touristic sites at only 1 hour by car.

If pet sitting is the main objective your stay in the house is free of chores but self catered; a car of your own would be useful.

Help with pets and household is still needed during 2020 because my recovery from a broken leg will not be complete, let's call it reduced mobility from now :(

It is essential that you have experience and affinity with dogs, my cat and three small dogs are abandoned / adopted

Due to my own health condition I cannot cater for vegans or raw foodists, sorry.
I will serve one hot meal a day, and provide you with the ingredients for the other meals and breaks.

Minimum age 25, fluent in Dutch or English or Portuguese is a must.
