WE HAVE IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY! We are ONLY looking for individuals who are interested in learning how to weld. We have a large horse fencing project that simply don't have the time for. We are looking for 2-3 very strong men or women who are up for some hard labor in exchange for learning and honing a very valuable trade. Will need to be able to lift approximately 100lb and be up for 3 hours of work per day. You will learn from a highly certified welder on both arc and gas welding. A great opportunity in exchange for some trade experience.

Our farm is located in a mature coastal oak grove on California’s Central Coast on the Arroyo Grande mesa. The mesa is an ancient sand dune placing us about three miles above the beach just off historic Highway 1. Striving for a permaculture minded homestead rather than a commercial operation, we focus on growing our own food for those on the farm as well as remembering to be thankful with excess to share with the community and friends. While we are vegetarian friendly, we do believe in eating meat in small, respectful proportions and not from inhumane sources or markets. We believe in eating meat that we have raised with love on our farm. While meat is an option, we do respect a vegetarian diet as well.
An average day on the farm…
Animal care comes first. Most of our pets and livestock are free range so they are liberated first thing in the morning. We usually work as a team and when it’s done… it’s up to you. We have a cobb bread / pizza oven, a hammock, bicycles, horses to ride, a pottery wheel, a small library of books or you are welcome to explore the beautiful coast.
Currently, we offer indoor primitive living to our guests. We have a three story cedar tree house as well as a tent in the forest on a first come-first serve basis. The kitchen, shower, and facilities are all outdoors so we can live closer to the beauty surrounding. We enjoy the comfort of community and nature rather than the modern household of convenience.

We surf, ride horse, and enjoy a relaxed lifestyle. We are committed to recycling and being conscious members of nature.
All guests are asked to contribute three hours of work for each day of your stay. We currently can not accommodate dogs on the property as we have many free range animals hopping around. Ideally, our guests are able to stay for a week and we re evaluate each Saturday to see who wants to stay and if we still need help.
Bus lines are approximately two miles away, groceries one mile and you are welcome to use the bicycles or hitch a ride with us on our way into town.
