North Portugal Minho region (near Galicia, Spain)

Hi, my name is João and I am a designer and crafter, living in Vilares a beautiful place in nature, near the mountain “Serra d’Arga” at north Portugal.
This is in a rural area 2km from the local village Covas that belongs to Vila Nova de Cerveira, where the rio Minho make boarder with Galicia (Spain).
I am building a project for creative working and thinking in crafts, design and nature.
Here is our house, studio and workshop, where we live and work.

Very often we do workshops, with students, guests or just people who likes to work in crafts
We are looking for strong and pro-active helper(s) who would like to help clean and organizing our plot of land.
We use machines like a brush cutter, chainsaw, so you must be able to use them. If you are not able to use we can teach you or you can do other kind of work. There is always a lot of things to do.

Work - 4/5 hours a day starting earlier morning
Maximum stay: 2 weeks

Accommodations –Private apartment double bedroom , an extra bed (in a small sitting room) and bathroom and kitchenette.

Meals– breakfast, lunch (at a local restaurant- (soup/main course/wine/coffee) or you can make it yourself if you prefer (if you are vegetarian)

Free time - You can walk to the mountain (marked trails) with fantastic views, rock pools, or walk down to the village. There are several cafés with nice terraces near by.

The nearest village is Vila Nova de Cerveira (river Minho) and Caminha ( atlantic sea ) (+/- 20km) where you can catch public transports to explore other places

Transport- No public transport at Covas but there is always someone to give a ride to the next town (+/- 20 minutes driving).
