Can't take people until may or so. We are fully booked right now andwe don't take people in thr winter, thanks.
we are Pol(Barcelona,31) and Daniela (36, Romania)we are regenerative farmers.
We do our best to live in harmony with our environment, taking care of the ecosystem and improving it so we all grow healthier.
we live in a stone house that we built and we have a large mobile home for guests and helpers.
The property is a 2,5 ha (7acres) permaculture farm where we mainly produce olive oil and nuts (besides our own food) and it has it's own well, a forest with all sorts of insects and animals, bees, sheep and other birds for eggs and meat.
Right now we are building terra preta in the veggie garden, building stone walls, clearing up the hazelnuts field to plant almond trees, and other building and paving tasks.
From november onwards we will start making biochar, then in december we harvest the olives to make our delicious organic oil, and then the prunning season starts until may.
What we are looking for in our helpers:
-Willing to work hard and learn a lot
-Some basic knowledge of what farm life is, it's hard work and there are no luxuries, we are also outside of town so we are a bit isolated. we do not have wi-fi but we get signal on our phones.
-Strong interest in living in the countryside or with nature, and in learning Permaculture as a way of living.
-We don't want travellers who just want to have cheap holidays. Again, we are looking for people who really want to learn and who belive in regenerative agriculture as an life choice.
The deal that we offer:
Work about 25 hours a week +- depending on the jobs (the harder the fewer hours)
We eat about 50% from our farm, 100% organic from regenerative agriculture (superior nutritional value)
we have a 35m2 caravan with kitchen, couch, and everything you need to live, with an outdoor shower
I will teach everything that I know about regenerative agriculture in exchange for your help as long as you show interest and motivation:
-holistic management of the property with animals
-how to make terra preta, the best soil in the world
-how to use all the resources in a property efficiently and cut down costs to almost zero
-how to build walls and infrastructure such as water, roads, fencing, solar power, etc. I built everything myself so I know a bit of everything.
-and a long etc.
