We have two needs

Temporary- May to August to cover staff holidays in the cheeserooms when milk is plentiful and we need to lay down stores for the winter. We prefer volunteers with previous experience of a high hygiene environment

permanently- we need and electrical or mechanical engineer to maintain our anaerobic digestor and develop our emission management plant.

We are a family farm, with a dairy herd of Brown Swiss cows on a New Zealand paddock grazing system.
We grow as much of the cattle feed as possible. We also have an anaerobic digester 180KWh
Our outputs are cheese and electricity. We are not organic, but have received many awards for education and sustainable farming/green energy/environmental issues.
We have hosted several people through other schemes, veterinary students, cheesemakers, people interested in anaerobic digestion, we are Warmshowers hosts.
We are particularly interested in helpers who are able to help in the cheeserooms making cheese.

Its warm here, the hot water from the anaerobic digestion heats the house!

We are close to the North sea ( 3 miles). The neighboring community of Wells next the Sea has shops, cinema, theatre, bars. Sailing and canoeing available on the harbour. From the village there are several buses daily to Kings Lynn and Norwich and along the coast where there are nature reserves famous for migratory wetland birds.

We are on two national cycle routes and a long distance coastal path.

It is possible to reach London by bus from Norwich (Megabus route) by train (London- Sheringham) and by train (London-Kings Lynn)
