Hello candidate helpx'ers,

“All Life is made of Stardust” is a permaculture community project situated in the hills of the Volvestre, Midi-Pyrenées.
The property consists of 7.5 ha of field and forest, a small pond and 2500 m² fruit and vegetable garden. There are chickens, sheep, horses, a dog, some cats, a pig and a couple of humans by the names of Karen (52) and Ronny (51).

We are currently developing a whole set of new ideas and this winter we’re looking for volunteers to help us with 4 projects :

1. Building a wood-cabin
2. Building fences round fruit and vegetable garden
3. Building chicken coops
4. Transforming an old caravan into a tiny house

We intend to offer learning opportunities as soon as we have the accommodation operational but for now we are searching volunteers who already have some experience in building and working with wood.
We are open to discuss the possibility of people willing and able to become part of the project for a longer period.

You can stay in a room or you can come with your own camper. Meals are included.
The scenery in the Volvestre is very peaceful with fields and forests and nice little villages. The Pyrenees are at a small hours drive as well as the city of Toulouse.

Karen is visually impaired but this has by no means stopped her from developing a long list of practical skills and a way of “seeing things” from different perspectives.
Ronny is an artist ; painter, writer, poet and philosopher and so he regularly needs time to be by himself to work and we ask our guests to respect this.

We always want to have a chat with you beforehand to see if we can get along and for you to ask any question that you might have.
Languages spoken : English, French, Dutch and some German
