We're a family developing a small homestead, business, and garden learning center inspired by permaculture principles and unschooling. We are two adults with four children with way more to do than we have time for.

Our home is in a rural community just outside Oxford, MS. Oxford is a fun university town with a lot of resources, activities, music, and a healthy local food and arts scene. Access to Oxford requires some means of transportation (10 minute drive).

We've completed construction of a really nice tiny house for 1-2 helpers. We need help with gardens, child interaction, infrastructure projects, cooking, cleaning, and more. Any place you can help is appreciated. Team mentality is required and creative thinking is admired.

Projects for 2017 include installing a wood stove, putting up a second greenhouse, clearing overgrown animal paddocks, bringing in chickens, and of course planting trees and making new gardens. But we can't do it all without your help!

Helpers can expect to learn about permaculture design, organic gardening, herbal medicine, and unschooling (Yes, including video games!). We require 30 hours labor per week in exchange for room and board.

We're brand new to HelpX and excited to share an opportunity. We travelled USA with WWOOF ten years ago learning about organic farming and permaculture and we're finally ready to pay it forward as hosts.

Please contact by email if you're interested and we're happy to answer all your questions and see if you're the right helper to join us for a little while. We look forward to hearing from you.
