I would like to state that where we are located is unceded Mi'kmaq territory, and we respect this land and all of its inhabitants.

Busy, busy, busy! We are in need of some helpers to arrive in mid-June. We are looking for help with the garden, some painting and organizational help around the farm.

I am in my 60's, living on a beautiful old farm that is well maintained because of constant upkeep. There is an organic vegetable garden to tend to, general yard maintenance, and paint touch ups/murals to do on both the inside and outside of the classic 150 year old house. Which has and eclectic range of wonderful humans coming and going. Heart, communication, and community keep us thriving, and as a result of that mindset many have found this sacred land to be quite healing and restorative. Fresh food, good friends, and long lasting memories!

I welcome someone with organizational skills to sort through the tool shed and basement. There is also firewood to stack, food to can and freeze, milk products to make many milk products from our fine jersey cows.

I am told by my many young friends and past WWOOFers, that I have a wealth of information on many subjects. Wild crafting, knitting, felting, and preserving food are my specialties. I love to host potlucks, card games, and music jams. We make trips to the nearby lake and ocean to swim, walk or gather seaweed. Often there are young children about as I have a 5 year old granddaughter. The variety of pastured spotted pigs, chickens and ranging herd of jersey cows will fill any helper with nostalgia for the old days. So come down to the gorgeous Ohio Valley of Nova Scotia and experience the very bucolic life of farming.
