Now open for the spring 2017 season!

Our center is located in historic Jemez Springs NM, enjoys a beautiful riverfront property with six main buildings to house its residents and guests as well as spaces for ceremonies, meditation, education, cooking and dining. We have a number of different landscaping venues which include vegetable, herb and flower gardens, a lotus pond, Zen garden, riverside sitting area and natural hot springs. Irrigation is available in the warmer months as water is diverted from the Jemez River which flows by the property.

Since the Center began 43 years ago, we have practiced trench style composting for the enjoyment of our chickens as well as soil preparation. We are currently developing the grounds to create a sustainable overall plan which incorporates the different areas and needs of the center. If you have permaculture or other gardening experience, we are especially grateful.

Along with gardening and outdoor projects, we offer an opportunity to learn and assist in the kitchen as we host various spiritual groups throughout the summer season. If you have a strong back and want to participate in a project which reaches out to many visitors as an oasis of peace and harmony now and long into the future, please contact us.

There is an opportunity to join in daily Zen practice, and you will enjoy wholesome vegetarian food prepared in the Bodhi kitchen. We welcome you and we do not discriminate with regards to race, gender, or religious preference. We expect you to abide by the gardening schedule, and our policies and rules as well as relate in a respectful manner to all, as is fitting in a close community.

Mondays are free days.
