I am 60 years old and I decided some years ago to move from the city (Bordeaux) to the pine forest on the way to the ocean....
i'm renovating an old farm using as possible an ecologic way of doing (lime with hemp for the walls), i'm doing the more i can by myself and my son (27 years) help me when he is not working on his boat, and my daughter (25) when she is not around the world (now she is in Canada).
i began to do a vegetable garden with permaculture, i had a good result last year and it is better and better!
Now, i need an help because i have to save the old beautifull barn that is just in front of the house. The first thing to do is to take off the old tiles and redone some carpentry pieces. With a friend of mine that is a builder we decided to do some happy working days in the 7/8/9 of July, we need some arms and legs...with the heads would be fine !!!!!
Join us for the BIG SAVING HAPPY DAYS!!!!!
and please sorry i try to speak english but i'm just french !! ;)
now after a big happy working WE, the barn no longer has a roof!!!next step: we will have to take care of the framework....
....and i continue to clean the ground
Which is invaded by brambles!
I have a large and confortable caravane to lodge you in the middle of the vegetable garden.
See you soon!
...the barn is going better and better, now it has 4 new beautifull posts at the front!
...all the area is getting better, I put some fruit trees,1 apple, 1 apricot, 1fig, 1 cherry and some roses. I re-done the vegetable garden after that the chicken had made a mess, so I did first a fense with the wood I cut around and it is also good to protect the fruit trees from the roes.
I lent my caravane to a friend who is doing a lot of work on his house so now I can just propose a bed on my landing....without a big privacy.....or camping!!! :)
now the barn and his dependency have a roof and the last week we did a lime cement floor in the dependency!
the vegetable garden is giving us a lot of tomatoes, courgettes, green beans, patatoes....permaculture is not just a word ;)
now in the next days I need help to cut the old floor wich was took off the barn, to have burning wood for the winter...interested?
hi everybody!
some fresh news:
we just finished of redoing the floor upstair in the barn and I began to put some terracotta tiles under the porch of the house, allways doing with lime, but I had to stop because of the heat....i'm looking forward for some grey days! ;)
the vegetable garden is growing: tomatoes, beans, butternut, onions ,corns, potatoes and I have more fruit trees: apricot, peach, and cherry and some are growing alone in the compost !! :))
I need as usual some arms to help to cut some wood for the winter.....and I need to finish my workshop as soon as you like to do this?
I lend my caravane to a friend to help him as he was doing some works in his house, the caravane will be back from the 22th of July so I could receive you !
See you soon!
