We have reopened, taking fewer guests due to health and safety precautions. There is an opportunity for a helper as soon as it is safe to travel.
Are you dreaming of working where others can only spend their holidays in the beautiful Glens of Antrim in Ireland? Spend your day with open minded, and friendly people? Be responsible for a hostel with decades of beautiful tradition and a large fan base?

There is only one catch: you need be passionate about Ireland and what we have to offer to visitors. English does not have to be your first language but you must be fluent enough to handle guests from all over the world.

This is bunkhouse barn located 5 miles/ 8 km from the village of Cushendall, It overlooks the quiet countryside of the Glenariff Forest Park with its stunning waterfalls and woodland trails. An ideal starting point to explore the Causeway Coastal Route. It has 14 bunks, a fully fitted kitchen, hot showers and a warm welcome!

This place has its own “session house” where visitors have the chance to hear local musicians and singers during regular evenings of storytelling and music. Owner Liz Weir is a professional storyteller who hosts visitors who want to experience the “real” Northern Ireland

We are in an isolated location so people must be comfortable with staying on their own on occasions. A friendly personality and GOOD SPOKEN ENGLISH is essential The helper must keep the hostel clean and welcome guests. There is some outdoor work to be done tidying the garden, trimming hedges and clearing leaves. The owner is a professional storyteller and we hold music and storytelling sessions at the barn. Owner speaks German, French and a little Spanish.

See picture of the barn and the owner below.
