Hi lovely Helpxers. * Update July 2020* Available to take Helpers in September. Take care everyone!

Kia ora. I have hosted travellers for many years and enjoy the cultural sharing and practical help in exchange for offering accommodation and wholesome food.

I live in an established solar-powered ecovillage. We are 20 minutes drive from the nearest village which has cafes and an organic store,Post Office, tennis courts and craft shop.

There are a huge variety of activities available to get into - from gardening, light building, cob and mosaic projects, dry stone walling, landscaping, painting, tree feeding and pruning, road maintenance. All in a village of friendly, creative people!

Awesome local places to explore: waterfalls, ocean beach and river swimming. Best if you have your own transport but also it`s possible to collect you from bus or ferry in Coromandel town.

Bonus experiences include live music sessions, cooking pizzas in the outdoor oven, shared community meals, local beach and bush walks.Wifi is available ( for a small charge). There are a variety of accommodation options. Plus opportunity for longer stays as quite likely you will meet other village residents who might like to host you as well.
I am looking to host one or two people with some practical skills and enthusiasm for pitching in with the current projects. 4 hours help a day in exchange for two meals is the usual arrangement, though this can vary day by day, depending on weather, projects etc. Please bring your own breakfast foods, and suitable work-clothes. One thing for sure though, is that we have fun and laughter while we get stuff done.
