Mega Update!! taking on new travellers for the new year.. Exciting work in great accomodation.. We also like to go to the sites.. everyone seems to stay for a while so come and join the fun!

We are doing 2 hours work with no food but accomodation as it may suit people more. combining food is still a great way to live cheaply.. The vegetable garden needs TLC and it will flourish.
ALso offering overnight camping for vehicules and walkers for $15 per night just so you are safe off the side of the road.. the camping is private spots and more lovely then a carpark behind the supermarket!
If you're fixing up a van.. you will find it useful to do here.. DO GET AN AA mechanical CHECK... i see so many vans break down... We are only 10 min from the industrial area where you can get all your supplies and van building materials for cheap... Just get out of Auckland!!!! way to much traffic!

*puppies are growing up fast! Almost 8 months and always hungry! Labradors are like stomached with mouths. Please donít feed them under training! They just want cuddles and play!
We are located in the Waimate North valley overlooking the gorgeous green hills of rural Northland only 10mins from the Bay of Islands airport and Kerikeri town. We have streams and lakes on the land and many great hammock areas to chill.
We are building the most amazing eco tourism location you will see in NZ, we are 5 years building. 8 years designing using organic and permaculture techniques.

In the past, backpackers who have worked with us have explored the area, which include the local Puketi Forest with its beautiful streams and rivers, the Ngawha Hot Springs, Cape Reinga, the historic coastal village of Mangonui and the hundreds of beaches of Northland. It is a great base for exploring!
We are looking for some keen people to help us with both general duties around the camp site and assisting with build and landscape work, some specific skills could be useful in trades also but not essential.
We usually have up to 8 backpackers at any one time assisting us with various duties. The normal arrangement is 4 hours per day for accommodation plus 3 good meat and vegetable meals a day, water and fruit.
We have all the bedding and spare clothing and water proofs coming into winter so you'll stay warm and dry.
Foot wear is necessary but we have gum boots for all sizes and lots of spare clothing
Accommodation: studio, caravan, and we have some spare camping equipment that we can help you with if you prefer to camp.
Duties (depending on abilities and skills):
* Gardening, weeding, planting, watering, strimming, pruning
* Landscape and construction labouring
* Painting and decoration.
Arty creative people could help with signage and other crafts.

Work will involve the general works we undertaking to get our sustainable eco tourism venture up and running by this summer. We will be painting, planting, maintaining etc, youíll love the views and great hospitality from myself (Kiwi) and our friends.
We have a large crop of olives coming and natural swimming pools to be created.
