Right now we are looking for enthusiastic helper's for the 2019 Season. We would like to start hosting interested individuals or couples beginning around mid April to early May. This is when we get our propagation greenhouses going and filled with seedlings and start with spring cleanup in the garden. This is our fifth year growing vegetables for restaurants in the Saskatoon area! Also, 2019 will be our first year as licensed HEMP producers. Our goal is to cultivate Industrial hemp to supply the blossoming CBD market. We are really excited about this opportunity and are sure this will be a very interesting year for our helper's.

Our family operated on Vancouver Island for four years before relocating to central Saskatchewan where Christina has roots and we were able to afford to purchase our own little piece of paradise to raise our family on and work at doing what we love. We have had wonderful experiences with helpers in the past. We love meeting new people from all over the world and love the "community" having people stay with us on our farm creates. This year promises once again to be extra exciting as we continue to expand our restaurant clients, begin our hemp business, create our vision, and build our farm. We supply veggies to several, award winning restaurants in Saskatoon, and try to live as sustainably as we can off of what we grow and raise here on the farm. In addition to our vegetable garden, we have begun planting a prairie hardy apple orchard and a christmas tree lot. This spring will be planting our third succesion of Christmas Tree planting.

Our Farm is located at the north end of the Aspen Parkland, just before the beginnings of the Western Canadian Boreal forest. We are close to a number of regional parks, lots of lakes, and are an hour away each from three different cities. This is a great area for anyone who likes to fish, hunt, camp and explore the outdoors. Our farm is as beautiful as any campground. Many people comment on the park like atmosphere and the positive energy they feel when coming onto our property. Our home is nestled in the midst of 80 acres of forest, and we have another 80 acres of open space which we utilize in planting our garden. We have a separate detached guest house (perfect for a couple or two friends) for our helpers to stay in, but meals are shared together in our home.

We ask that helpers pitch in once a week to help prepare a meal, mostly because past experience tells us that our helpers are great cooks! We have two lively children - our son Gabriel turned 9 in December and our daughter Molly will be 8 in August, so a love for children is a must!

Regular work hours are about 5 hours a day with weekends off. 2 days per week will be harvest days during the summer season (July to October) and may require working a little longer than five hours on those days. You would be responsible for keeping your living area clean and helping with a few additional household chores, particularly around meal times. When you join our "team", you become family so of course you would be given the choice to join us on all family excursions, trips, special occasions, etc. We prefer our helpers to stay for a minimum of two weeks, but the longer you can stay, the better (preference will be given to long term helpers).

Right now we are booking helpers for our 2019 season. It is soon to be a beautiful and abundant time to be on the farm. We look forward to hearing from you!
