We are Lee and Sally, an Australian couple in love with France. Lee is a builder and I (Sally) am a journalist. We travelled a lot around the world and like to be surrounded by travellers as well. We bought a 200 year old house in Cransac and are looking for energetic people to help us in our project of renovation.

We started the renovation last summer but there is still a lot to do. Current projects include painting and decorating, installing our new kitchen, installing new bathrooms, plumbing and general electrics but also some gardening. So anyone with experience in building projects and general DIY is always welcome.
Important point: We are looking for someone able to speak English AND French as well. We donít speak a lot of French and need someone able to translate and help us deal with the local builders.

Cransac is a small town in the beautiful department of Aveyron. It is well known for its mineral springs and its casino but Cransac is also interesting for its culture and history. It used to be a coal-mining centre until 1962 and a lot of buildings are reminders of its past.
This is a quiet place that would suit someone who loves nature and quiet, but there is lots happening during the summer. The countryside is wonderful and it is a fantastic area for walking and hiking.

In return for 25 hours of your help per week (about 5 hours a day + weekend free), we offer comfortable accommodation with shared bathroom and good meals. The minimum stay is 1 week. We would be happy to give you some advice about the region and take you with us when going to the markets or visiting around.

Hope to see you soon in Cransac
Lee and Sally
