Grab your boots and get Dirty with us!

We host energetic, happy and eager to learn volunteers from April- October you can check out our website via our link above.

If you want to learn more about sustainable living and love to be out doors working with your whole body, living in community and honoring the land you work with than we are your new favorite place.

The school is hosted by a beautiful, 40-acre farm, family homestead and demonstration site located near Port Townsend Washington at the tip of Discovery Bay. The land is a peaceful sanctuary of forests, fields, creeks and paths. There are countless places to wander or sit quietly and observe nature. The demonstration site offers ample opportunity to work with animals, green houses, herb gardens, annual and perennial food systems as well as a dynamic classroom, reference library and lecture space.

We also host a Permaculture Internship that teaches permaculture, modern homesteading, fiber art, sustainable food production, domestic arts, holistic animal husbandry and land stewardship as well as many other traditional life skills through a hands on mentorship program. We use the traditional “whiteboard” learning method and incorporate outside ‘greenboard’ lectures to create a dynamic educational environment. This allows for students to observe and interact, using nature as a classroom. The School is a place to learn, a place to grow, and a place to inspire change.

Our school requires volunteer support to keep the facility running smoothly. We are seeking volunteers to become a part of our team from April through October! We host for as little as 2 months, but prefer longer stays.

This is a school and we love to teach and learn so there is lots of mentorship and learning going on here. If you love sharing conversations and your knowledge with others and listening to great ideas and experiences come spend some time with us.

Daily work consists of general farm work such as weeding, planting, mulching, compost sifting, animal chores, harvesting, cleaning, greenhouse work, listening to permaculture lectures in the garden and more. Work days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30-5:00 Tuesday, Thursday and weekends are free giving you time to explore the beautiful North Olympic Peninsula.

Accommodations: Indoor commons, outdoor kitchen, shower house, garden produce in season, electricity and WI-FI in the resource center, local buss line, grocery store and pub within walking distance.

For testimonials from other volunteers, WWOOFers and visitors visit our Farm Fanmail page!

No experience necessary.

No children or pets, please.

We prefer longer stays of 3 months or more.
