Our community is a project in which people share joy, personal growth, music and learning, throughout the year be it for a short or longer period. In the summer the community offers a summer long event with workshops and jam sessions.
We are 4 adultus and 2 children, preparing the property so it can blossom and be home to a lovely community of people living close to, and in harmony with nature.
We bring together people who want to be close to nature, learning to live, and living a healthy and sustainable life.
As a community project, our community is a place where community living is being reinvented for the 21st century. The project seeks to bring the balance between personal and community needs as well as a harmony between the need for private space, time and building a harmonious group supporting each member.
Both our community and Our community gatherings will be home to a lot of music and jam sessions. With a growing collection of musical instruments, a small PA and some recording equipment, the project aims to one day host a true recording studio and diverse musical events. Drum circles and jam sessions will be frequently going on at night.
Non Formal Learning Environment
Both at the community and the gatherings, Our community will be set up as a non formal learning environment, with workshop areas, room for dance and yoga, space and equipment for arts... Along the lines of non formal education, participants will be encouraged to develop skills and knowledge in areas of their liking and according to their own motivation.
Who Can Participate in our community?
Our community is open to people of all ages and backgrounds with a special attention for youth. An interest in sustainability or personal well-being is welcome as those are the themes the project is developed around.
For our community the project will host participants who are welcome to take part in community living and all sustainability and well-being activities that take place. Further we will welcome volunteers who come with specific skills, to work on specific tasks. People who stayed at our community for some time can apply to join the community permanently as member.
For Our community gatherings, everybody is welcome to come and participate. Further we will attract people with special skills and knowledge to give workshops and talks fitting the theme of the gathering.
Who can volunteer at our community
our community is a young project and in full expansion. To prepare for the gatherings we will need people with diverse skills in areas such as carpentry and building in general, forestry, cooking and housekeeping, child care, marketing and publicity, WP web design and development and many more…
If you have valuable experience in one or several of these areas, or in other areas you think may be of use to us, and you are a self motivated person, then you may be the volunteer we are looking for. We will be looking forward to host you as a part of our community for the time of your stay, and share our lifestyle and activities with you.
What is expected of you?
If you come as a volunteer to our community, you are expected to do up to 5 hours of work, 5 days a week. You will be given tasks corresponding to your previous experience and training. Usually you will need to be able to work independently, unless it is agreed on in advance that you will work under the guidance of a community member or another volunteer.
The minimum time to volunteer at our community is 2 weeks. There is no maximum, and depending on the nature of the work done, the duration will depend on your availability and the project needs.
What we offer you?
As a volunteer, you will be offered a place to sleep in the house, if available, otherwise in a caravan or a tent. You can make use of the available infrastructure such as kitchen, bathroom, garden etc… You will be offered vegetarian meals (cooked in turns by participants and volunteers), for which we will take your specific dietary in consideration as much as we can.
If you arrive on the arrival and departure day (at the moment Sunday), we will pick you up in Nisa. If for some reason you need to come on another day, you can take a taxi, or be picked up by us for a fee, if someone is available.
During your stay, you will be a member of our community, which means you can take part in all community activities, including the talking circles, workshops, ceremonies etc… Use of workshop areas and tools can be agreed on.
