Hi there, thank you for dropping by!

We are in the very early stages of developing a new campsite on tree fringed established grounds in the heart of Fenland. We live in 5 bedroom house that sits in about 4.5 acres (2 hectares). I have just bought the house from my father (however it's been in the family for many years). We're currently looking for a little bit of help prepping the campsite grounds and with the house.

The Fens if you don't know are extremely flat :-) It's a phantasmagoric other-worldly place riven with drainage channels and water courses and has some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets you will ever see.

We're situated in the small village of Welney on the banks of the Ouse Washes nature reserve close to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. There is a pub in the village that serves lovely food and we're near the Cathedral city of Ely and Cambridge and just 1hr 15 mins minutes from London by the train.

The village of Welney is known as the mecca of Fen Ice Skating and even boasts a past world ice speed skating champion. It is also known for its fishing and wildfowl in particular the Bewick and Whooper swans that migrate here in September from Siberia and Iceland.

Bit of background about us.
My father lives with me and my daughter stays every other weekend (she's 10:-) and of course there’s Brandy our Staffordshire Bull Terrier (she's very friendly). Oh, almost forget, we have two Silky chickens.

I co-own a film/video production agency, producing a mix of corporate and broadcast programming. I've travelled extensively filming travel documentaries from Alaska to Patagonia from London to Beijing (literally:-) so love listening to tales from the trails and I have a tale or two to tell myself – will try not to bore you! We're also interested in local history so will make sure you find out a bit about the area and its history if you'd like. My father, up until recently, operated one of regions leading Landscaping companies from here. They won many medals at the Chelsea Flower Show with various gardens, in fact the campsite is named after their gold medal winning garden. The Fenland Alchemist Garden.
