CORONA-INFO: Even though the corona situation makes travel across borders difficult, it can now be possible to come here by invitiation for a longer stay/voluntry work, so if interested, please get in touch and we will see what can be arranged within the advise and rules that apply. I really hope to be able to have some helpers coming, as soon as possible.

My place: Once my grandparent’s home and work place, now an ecotourism guesthouse and harbour property with several buildings, wooden boats, wonderful hikes and nature all around. All year, - but especially from May until end of October, I welcome volunteers to come and stay, help and get a little piece of the real Norway.

The dockhouse has retro style guestrooms, my wooden boats need care before being put on water, the garden needs loving hands.. I have a nice cafe and sometimes we make a bar at the dock house to gather locals and tourists. Here most things are second hand, there is a lot of history and local culture is everywhere. But also a lot of work and tasks to be done, and I hope to gather a nice team to help out.

For example:
- Daily household tasks, help in kitchen and at the guesthouse.
- Maintenance of the houses, do some painting, build a rom or two, repair work
- Gardening, take care of boats & bikes and to help keeping outdoor and indoor areas nice.

We are also constantly developing and last year we made old shed rooms into a nice bar. This spring, plan is to build some new rooms and make what we have even better.

Always something to do at a place like this, and the help I get is for sure making a huge difference. Being more people is inspiring too.

Staying here you will learn about Norwegian culture, food, nature and traditions. I have worked for years internationally with ecotourism and responsible tourism and nature conservation. I have enjoyed having volunteers here for some years before, and I really appreciate both the company and the help:-) We have beautiful nature all around with great hiking trails, ocean and isle, which I hope you will enjoy. The village with a few shops is 1-2 km away.

Accommodation: You'll stay in my guest rooms, there will be towels and bedlinen and I provide all food. Food will be Norwegian family food, no special diets. Wifi.

Hours of help: 5 hours a day, 6 days a week. Minimum 4 weeks. Most needed May - September.
Looking forward to share my place and our culture with you!

Tourism within Norway will be possible from June 1st. Are now getting ready, and immidiate/last minute help is appreciated too.
