We live in a cottage with an extensive garden (extensive to us!) of 2.5 acres. There is a stream, a pond, woodland, allotment and lawn space - several gardens in one! We need help clearing, maintaining and landscaping the different areas of the garden. This might be clearing brambles and nettles or clearing mud and undergrowth from the pond or other tasks like this, depending on what we are working on at any time. Some of the photos show the areas of garden we are working on - still in a mess! We will only want help at certain times of the year depending on our projects and other business - always worth checking.
We have a beautiful, hand-built shepherd's hut that sleeps 1-2 and a stunning Mongolian yurt that sleeps 1-4 so depending on anyone else staying, you can choose accommodation. Either way, it's an outdoors experience with a bit of comfort thrown in - but camp life (including camp fires) is what you'll be getting stuck in to. We live in a very rural area so peace and quiet is the name of the game! We are 4 miles from a mainline train station and on a bus route between 2 towns, in a gorgeous part of the fabulous county of Cornwall. 20 minutes from the sea and not far from big attractions such as the wonderful Minack open air theatre at Porthcurno and the Maritime Museum in Falmouth.
We'd hope to negotiate reasonable working hours and meals with you once you apply so that whatever we decide suits us all. I prefer to be contacted by email in the first instance, after which we can speak on the telephone. Thank you.
