I own and operate a horse boarding facility located just 10 minutes from Sussex. I have a century farmhouse that has been passed down through several generations and is situated on approximately 150 acres of land with hayfields, forests, and a river passing through the property. In addition to the horse stable, which can have up to 30 horses, I also have sheep, laying hens and meat chickens, and a small garden.

I am asking for 4 hours of help per day 5 days a week.

A furnished room will be provided. I ask that you keep things neat and tidy, and respect the shared accommodations (kitchen, bathroom, living room). There is free internet, TV and laundry services. I have 2 children (ages 8 and 11) who spend half of their time with me. I work nights 4x per week and the odd weekend. I am able to provide some home cooked meals.

It would be preferred if you have carpentry skills. I would like help with small and large projects around the property like stacking firewood, stacking hay, tending the garden, cleaning horse stalls, house repairs, etc.

Around the farm there is is a lot to do on your downtime if you enjoy the country lifestyle. We have a fire pit, walking trails, and a local swimming hole. You can ride horses if you want, the stable has both an indoor and outdoor arena as well as miles of trails that are accessible year round.

The town of Sussex is only a 5-10 minute drive away. Sussex has many attractions like a drive-in movie theatre, shopping mall, community parks and gardens, farmer's market, and a rich history. It is fondly referred to as "cow town" and is a very friendly area! It is 45 minutes from either Moncton or Saint John, both of which are busier cities with lots of shopping and events going on.

Look forward to hearing from you!
