*******(Feb ASAP) needing 1-2 people to help with gardening and other projects. Garden work, outside maintenance and Inside Tidying up ... located in beautiful Peria ,Far North 20m inland from Beautiful Beaches. Good food on offer too! (meat eating family)

As a young family we are implementing organic principles on our 25 acre lifestyle property, in beautiful Peria. We expect focused, industrious, well-paced work from our volunteers but in return we love sharing our life and what we like to do for fun. Can accommodate 1 to 2 people

Preferred minimum stay: one week minimum

Preferred length of stay: If all goes well we can discuss a longer stay all together. We have had some helpers stay for a week and some over a month. It is all about quality work done at good pace, fitting in well in our home and life and learning & enjoying your stay.

Accommodation: accommodation is in our spare room with one double bed, we can move a single mattress in also to accommodate two, if absolutely necessary.

Property size 25 acres, mostly native bush.
Hours of help asked per day: 5

Diet: Generally We do not cater for vegan or vegetarians. We eat meat that is raised locally as well as some we hunt or fish ourselves. In addition to home or locally grown vegetables and fruit.
(May make exceptions for right Vegan.)

Vegetarian: As above we can't cater for special diet or vegetarian.

Special instructions: Please say your dietary requirements (if any) in your message to us.

Amber is dairy free and keen to learn more meat free recipes however dinner will always contain meat.

Organic Principles: We are trying to live as sustainably as possible, including hunting, fishing, and gathering food. Growing from seed for our veggie gardens as well as composting to improve the soil. Native bush maintenance, wood gathering for winter etc.

Types of work we need help with:
Inside: eco cleaning dusting, sweeping, moping, cleaning windows etc.
Outside: gardening, weeding, planting, clearing larger weeds in paddock and yard, digging hole for fruit trees, planting fruit trees, fencing fruit trees.
Building projects that we may get help with: building garden fences, ferro cement, composting toilet construction and various other construction projects.


Along with permaculture design, growing food and preserving our surplus Amber is interested in utilising common and native plants for food and medicinal use, collecting and processing for balms or preserving may be a project we can do together.

Inti is a keen hunter and fisherman. If the tasks we set out to do are completed with time to spare, and our volunteers are keen, we may be able to take you along to amazing local fishing or hunting spots to help harvest dinner.

Ayla is our baby daughter she is full of energy and excitement for the world. She is using cloth nappies and other home made baby products. We employ a loving respectful Eco friendly approach to parenting.
