Hello traveler, welcome to our land! Following our years in a communal life in an ecovillage, we have recently moved as a couple to a small village up at the mountains, surrounded by oaks, pines, mullberries and many other trees, listening to the songs of birds and crickets.

We need hands and hearts to support us to build an EARTHBAG HOME, an open kitchen and outdoor leisure areas using hand tools as well as cooking, singing, moving our body and meditating :) We prefer if you can stay for at least a week. Volunteers will assist with building, gardening and cooking. We will be mostly working on our earthbag house. There is a job for everyone and the more the merrier really works in this building method :) You can bring your child and/or pet if you want, they are all welcome.

Working is done on a voluntary basis so you can take time for yourself, we believe that the best work comes when you feel good :) That being said we wish our volunteers to share the workload so around 4-5 hours of work a day should be expected. During the summer time to avoid overheating, we start working early in the morning, work till midday and take a break till 17:00 and work again until the sunset (around 20:00). If you don't want to be a part of building work, you can help us with cooking or preparing the garden sites.

We are living off-grid for now and will be staying in tents so we ask you to bring your camping gear (Tent, underlay, sleeping bag) There is a tiny guest house in the town that you can stay during winter season. There we also charge our electronic equipment, eat and do laundry. Hopefully by the time you arrive we will have managed to get water to the land and build the outdoor shower, yet if that is not the case you can take showers in the guesthouse too. There will be a compost toilet and a little water tank for kitchen, cleaning and building work. Hopefully we will have internet so if you want to use it we expect you to contribute for refilling it (gift economy! :))

We live a mostly vegan lifestyle but we eat eggs from time to time. We expect you to not bring any meat products. If you want to have cheese, we can get it locally but you would have to cover it yourself. Facilities The nearest small shop is 10km away from the village and nearest town that we go for farmers market and shopping is 30km away (Bayramic). We will provide food so you don't need to worry about that but if you have special requirements, you need to take care of them yourself. We will be visiting the market every Wednesday where you can get what you need.

We are in between two towns, Can and Bayramic. If you are coming from Istanbul take a bus to Ean and from there take a minibus to Bayramic. Tell the driver that you will be getting off at Yaniklar intersection. Now you are 9kms away from the village! :) From there you can hitchike or we can pick you up. We would be glad if you contribute for gasoline. If you come on a Wednesday we can meet at Bayramic, since that is our shopping day. If you want to join us please contact us and provide your full name, date of arrival, your skills/ interests and how long you plan to stay as far in advance as you can. Looking forward to meeting you!
