Our home is a big house of 1500 m2, where national and international teachers come to share their knowledge and gifts through courses, workshops and retreats in the field of spirituality and self development -mainly mindfulness, yoga, meditation and silent retreats. We also host a couple of wonderful annually recurring festivals: One world festival and yoga festival. They are the high pick of the year. Some retreats are open for the volunteers some are not. You are always welcome to write to us if you want to know more about a special retreat witch is coming up. More are “being born” this year, for instance a Tantra festival. We serve lovely vegetarian food to our guests.

The house does not follow any particular tradition, but welcomes all the different paths of spirituality. Our focus is to integrate spirituality in our daily life, conscious, deeply rooted, connected at heart. The keywords fitting the house would be truth, honesty, transformation.

People coming here truly enjoy the energy of the house, we hear them very often say that they feel much at home, and our work aways have been so happy of their stay here with us, benefiting from it on different levels and often we have the honour of seeing them again as many comes back to visit or work for us again. We feel really lucky :)

What characterizes this place is that it is not only a retreat center but a community as well. We are 4 lovely people living here, taking care of administration, preparing and cleaning for all events, and creating a loving atmosphere for the many visitors coming here each year. Because so much is going on here, we find both the need to meet, be social and to enjoy our lonesomeness. We usually don't eat together on a daily basis, but it happens of course once in a while, spontaneously. There is family-like bond between us and yet we are very independent. Which means that it is important that you can enjoy your own company as well as being together with people.

You will be working 25 hours a week and we would like for you to be able to stay here for a minimum of 2 months in order for you to get to know the tasks and most importantly to feel at home in our home.

The task of our volunteers is mainly preparing the rooms and the house for the next group of people attending a retreat, It could also be painting windows, doors, walls, gardening, and other repairing or maintenance stuff according to your skills.

In the summer time we have a lot of retreats running, which means helping in the kitchen, bringing food from the kitchen to the dining room & cleaning after meals are the main tasks. In the winter season we don't have as many retreats, so we spend more time on maintenance of the house and the garden.
We can properly always find some tasks if you have a special skill to share.

FREE TIME - time to: take a nap under the trees, bouncing the trampoline, swim in the ocean, adventurous bicycle trips, make jam/cake/pancakes, paint, write, go for a run, meditate in the sun or sunroom, chant, visit Stege, Nyord or CPH.

ART TIME - time to: work on your own arty skills. Here is The Buddha hall & Ganesha room a perfect place to freak out when it comes to music, Yoga/Akroyoga/Arialyoga, dancing, singing, playing the drum etc.. This year we even made our own Choir
In the volunteer area we have a shelf with all kind of stuff: Paint, paper, close, magasins etc - here you may find what your own inner creator/artist are looking for.

THE SHED: If you are hiding a handcraft in you and you wants to explore your talents feel free to jump into the shed and make something.

In the house we have drums, a piano and a guitar. Feel free to grab it and make music :)

We look much forward to hear from you.
