The ranch is located within the beautiful and botanically diverse Siskiyou Mountain range. This is a 160 acre rustic mountain ranch, that is in the process of a major sustainable overhaul, looking to be sustainable by the end of 2019. This is a challenging project for this Mountain Ranch, but it can be accomplished with hard work and dedicated people.
3. Tractor operator
4. Use a chain saw
The list of things to do here is very long so here are some major things that need to be done before winter.we do have snow in the winter mo. Chicken coop roof repair & the horse stall roof. Goat huts put up.
I need long term and short term help for all of the projects I want to get done.
Establish gardens/cold frames/greenhouse for food to sustain helpx/WWOOF guest.
There is a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath trailer home for helpx/WWOOF housing.
Animals lovers are a must up here! The ranch is home to many critters big and small; Cows, Goats, Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Horses, Lamas, Dogs, Cats, Deer, Cougars, Coons, and several other wild animals. Currently the ranch produces small amounts of farm fresh eggs and goats milk daily. The water supply is spring water, gravity feed. There are many projects going on and I could use some much need help and know how.
Other sustainable living techniques that would benefit the land and animals on this peace of paradise would be great.
I provide room and board. I have abundant tent space for the campers. Looking for both short and long term helpers. I`m looking to get a large garden growing to provide veggies for my helpers. projects include but not limited to alternative construction, milking goats, gathering eggs, restoration projects, green energy, gardening, taking care of animals, setting up a greenhouse, coming up with new and better ways to be sustainable.
we are off grid some what.
We can also arrange to pick you up in town.(Roseburg)
The ranch is close to Umpqua National Forest, Crater Lake, Klamath Falls, and a 1 1/2hours drive to the coast.
I spin wool and make goat cheese I would love to share it with any who is interested.
There is great fishing and crabbing on the coast, for which I love to do......Lake & river fishing is wonderful too.
The trailer is wood heat only. I need some one who can run a chain saw, as well as split wood and putting it up for the winter. In Oct. we will be needing to put hay up in the the hay shed.
The mountain sunsets are wonderful, after a days end...
