"If everybody makes a difference, the world will be different" - Owen Geiger... Our project is located outside a little village in the northeast of Thailand. Well off the beaten track of tourism we offer an opportunity for everybody to join in a fascinating project where we combine vipassana meditation, yoga, natural building and ecological gardening (especially permaculture) to a system of personal growth and care for nature. We want to show that the path inside and sustainable living can be very lively, joyful and fun. We rock the garden! Our project is deeply rooted in the Thai community, so you can experience an authentic insight into Thai culture and really be part of it. Our teacher is the Abbot of a Monastery in the nearest city and as such, living mindfully and observing the Buddha`s teaching is very much at the heart of this project. We have a deep connection with the village monastery and the Buddhist community and enjoy sharing in ceremonies and festivals together. Each ...

We are a pretty colourful bunch of nice people composed of an austrian and a middle east family and long standing international friends. Actually living here permanently: Feri (1982), Lise (1975) and Mia (1942). The children Layla (2013) and Aisha (2015) are coming regularly to see us. We also have a lot of different visitors here from all over the world. We live here in Lower Austria at the beginning of the alps in one of the beautiful natural spring water protection areas of the city of Vienna. (100 km south of the city - by train within 1 hour). Its the last small village before the Höllental (hell canion) at the foot of the mountain Rax near the river Schwarza. We are on a hill, hidden behind ancient giant coniferous trees. The farm was built over 150 years ago as a guest house, then used as a simple farmhouse and then converted in the style of a century-turnvilla. From the original stable became another residential house. The old house is still very original (as 100 years ago) an...

We are an organic family farm with many children, islandic horses and lots of other animals. We are located in the Mátra Mountain - which is the highest point in Hungary, but still only 1045 m. :) There are wonderfull hiking ares around our farm, you need not cross a street to be able to walk or ride for hours. Unfortunately we had hard times in our family life, after divorce and selling our previous farm me and my children are trying hard to build a new farm. We started again at point zero, on an abandoned land, where wineyards used to be and the wires of the fomer whineyards are still in the ground, causing deathly damage to all wild and domestic animals. Therefore we are collecting those old rosty cabels of wires, cutting the bush to renew the pastures (before the wine originally this peace of land used to be a hugh pasture), collecting garbade and constructing a very simple house. We would need help in constructing works, especially welcome hard working persons and men, but ther...

Hello. We are a small Llamas farm, located in the Pyrenees mountains. If you are looking for an original French experience, it could be the right place for you! Bonjour. Une petite ferme originale, avec des lamas sympas, du travail autour d'eux en pleine nature, et des repas généreux avec des produits locaux, c'est ce qu'on vous propose, en plus d'un accueil familial, chaleureux et confortable. Here in the high Pyrenees, near the Andorra & Spanish border, we offer you the possibility to live and work in a calm and isolated place, surrounded by high mountains and nothing but pure nature, and good meals "à la française" after our activities among our lamas (about 15 of them). We are a retired French couple, but we used to work and live in foreign countries and continents, which made us interested in people and cultures from all over the world. In the surroundings, there are beautiful places that we would be happy to make you discover, and if you want, we can trek together with Lla...

We live on a beautiful hill surrounded by ancient oaks, a large olive grove, orchard, forest and fields. I practice natural agriculture, inspired by various schools and experimenting. I apply natural farming by drawing inspiration from various schools and experimenting. Rotating in the fields, I grow grain mixes of old varieties, spelt, chickpeas, green manure, melliferous and forage grasses. I sell my products to friends, acquaintances and buying groups. I use an old caterpillar tractor. I plant a vegetable garden for self-consumption and out of passion, learning something new every year. I am inspired by Permaculture concepts and a subsistence economy. My great passion is trees, both fruit and ornamental, which I have in different varieties and never tire of planting. I raise homegrown hens by selecting the most hatch-inspired mothers, who are generous in giving eggs and also meat. For this I give thanks. This project is part of a sustainable re-population project in the Abruzzo countryside. It's part of a network active in this area which connects all the people living around that have chosen the natural farming as their way to freedom. I'm 45 years old and i live one and half km away from Tufillo in a three hectares property. An open space for those who love nature, natural farming, art, and the sharing of goods, knowledge and experience. I started this project which includes the renovation of a farm shed, the building of a new house, some organic vegetable gardens, a meditative corner on an old oak tree, a thermocompost-shower, a clay pizza oven, a bio-climatic chicken coop and small stable. There are to be planted an orchard and a vineyard. From the water source present in the property gushes pure water that will be channeled into two bio-pools that will be used as tanks but also for fish breeding. At the moment there are six chickens and three dogs but i also want to breed geese, r...

It's a single storey flat roof*** We running an automotive country workshop where we fix and service cars, 4WDs, trailers, tractors and all sorts of machinery. In our spare time we look after our little farm, some sheep, some cattle and rabbits. And we are always in need of a couple of helpful hands to support us. And we love to get to know different cultures and people. We grow our own meat, fruit and vegetables. Gustav also brews his own beer and makes wine and cider. A mature, non-smoking, self-organized person, preferable not a vegetarian, to give us a hand with house and land, would fit best into our lifestyle. You will have to join into our daily routines: breakfast is at around 7.30 am and then we feed all the animals, especially the hungry dog and work starts at 8.30am. We need to get everyone organized before customers arrive in the workshop. We expect about 4 hours work per day and we offer a nice...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen workers to help fix fences and do some building work. We have a small farm. We moved from the city to produce our own food. We have sheep. We are trying to grow new saplings and trees and establish a food forest. We are conscious people who are permaculture certified and registered in the organic farm network. We have a sustainability-based perspective. We would like to host volunteers who will help us with these issues. You will carry the experiences of being part of a real farm throughout your life. You will gain wonderful experiences on the farm with Selçuk, the master of everything, and Kadriye, the cook of delicious meals. To make bread, you need flour, yeast and an oven. A person who produces everything himself learns to live without needing anyone. This is a great freedom. We have a lot of wwoof experiences. Thank you for read our profile..

Hello everyone! We are Claudio and Elisa, a 38-year-old couple with many dreams. Tired of the hectic routine of the modern society, in 2018 we quit our jobs, we bought an old camper (which still is our house) and we left our village looking for a different way of living, in harmony with Nature, animals and people, but first at all with ourselves. The experiences we lived, made growing in ourself the wish to have our own piece of land, where we can put into practice the principles of self-sufficiency as much as possible. It is a very ambitious project, which also includes the construction of a ecological house, using wood, straw and clay. A long journey brought us here, in our corner of paradise, in Abruzzo, in the center of Italy, near Vasto. The land, of almost 3 hectares, is surrounded by olive trees and has a beautiful view of the sea and the mountains. After 2 years as volunteers, now we are really happy to be hosts! We love the idea of sharing our dreams with travelers from all ...

Hello :) We are a small German family (Jens 54, Doreen 46 and Sam 7) who emigrated to Norway many years ago. We live on a farm here and now have 20 sheep. We need some help with tasks like cleaning out the stable and feeding them. In addition, there are always several tasks to be done on a farm, such as repairing or building fences, felling trees, sawing wood with a chainsaw or cross-cut saw, preparing winter wood and, if necessary, gardening work such as pulling weeds. We have a house over two floors with a total of six rooms. One of them is on the upper floor and would be your accommodation for the period. It is a very large and bright room with a beautiful view. The bathroom is on the lower floor and is used by all of us.

WOULD LOVE SOME HELPERS for 3-4 days - planting native flaxes/ trees, weeding and mulching plants - so a lovely time of year to be working outside in the autumn days. We do have a dedicated cottage for our Helpx guests next to our home - so you can have your own space but eat with us. My husband and I live on a lifestyle property in beautiful Pleasant Valley (just 10kms mountainside of Geraldine). You will have your own space - cottage accommodation ( 40 sqm cabin) which is just ajacent to our house). Our 12 acre property sits in the view of the Four Peaks Mountains and has trees, creeks, and a natural spring-fed swimming pool. We eat largely non- processed wholefoods homecooked meals, fresh veges and fruit. There is a lot to explore around our area and you are welcome to borrow a bike to check out the countryside or bike to our local village - Geraldine. Or join us on any trips out and about. Steve and I offer a high quality experience (as you can see from our reviews) and so we expect our Helpers to pitch in and help. The more you put into your time here at Larnook the more you will get out of it. Our property is situated at the foothills of the Billen Cliffs at beautiful Larnook, 30kms north west of Lismore and 20 mins away from Kyogle and Nimbin. We (Kev and Steve - we are a gay couple) have all kinds of work including weeding, mulching, watering plants, weed removal, creek revegetation, painting and planting. We usually expect around 4 hours per day of work in exchange for all meals, your own room, access to internet (for checking emails, looking at websites, Skpe, Netflix), TV, dvd collection etc. Accommodation is your own room with shower and toilet in our 5 bedroom house. We can pick up from Lismore, Kyogle, Nimbin and Ballina, depending on times and day of the week. Kevin has a passion for reptiles and we keep a few animals including a woma python called Kim...

Looking for Helpers right through busy summer and autumn months. Plenty going on during summer, shearing, stock work, fencing, weed control, garden tidying, lawn mowing, lots of tractor driving etc. It would be great to have some strong keen workers to help fix fences and do some building work. Our family of 4 (2 kids - 16 & 18 years old) live on a beautiful sheep and beef farm with large woodland garden and organic vegetable garden. We need help with stock work, general farming tasks, gardening, cooking etc. We're 40 minutes from Nelson, 15 minutes from Motueka. It's an idyllic rural setting with excellent access to rivers, mountains, mountain biking, Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks etc. with easy access to some of the best fly fishing rivers in NZ (and the world!) There's 4-6 hours work per day depending on tasks. Plenty of flexibility to work full days and have plenty of time off to explore. Please be aware you may get hot, wet, muddy, dusty and dirty but rest assured ...

Come and grow with us! ******Please read the reviews below for an insight into what its really like!!!! ******** More about what we do: We grow rice, cherries, apples, peaches, corn, pumpkins, cucumbers and soy-beans on our farm here in Murayama-Shi in the middle of the very beautiful Yamagata Prefecture in the north part of Japan. We are registered primary producers in the correct postcode for volunteers to be eligible to use their time here towards their 88 days and have helped many backpackers secure a second/third year visa. From MAY we are about to get back into hosting a person or couple after a 6 month break over the summer wet season... We will planting out some new areas, propogating, repotting plants, cleaning up after the wet season and looking for someone that is happy to help with those jobs and keen to join us in some boating adventures around Dunk Island, even some camping/fishing on the Hinchinbrook Island wilderness area (mainly during September /October l) also planning trips the Reef and Islands for some snorkeling and fishing, ( weather permitting)... An electrician would also be particularly useful in helping with a few household wiring issues. After the wet season ends (May) We also have a cool project for anyone with some stonework experience to help with some natural rock steps and a...
