I'm Thanasis, a 55 years old greek man living in the South of the Peloponnes. I'm a farmer, with oranges trees and some olive trees. I also have a shop, mainly selling coffee that I roast on site. I need help all the year to maintain the big farm (orange and olive harvest, trees pruning, pick-up fallen oranges, and so on..) If you come, you will have your own room (1 for a couple or separate), and access to all the rest of the house (kitchen, bathroom...). I like to share the meal, and provide food if you want to cook. You also can use WI-FI connection. You could enjoy the life between the farm and the city of Skala Lakonia, wich offer a lot of coffee shop, restaurants, and any kind of stores. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, to allow time to learn about life on the farm. I need help for a maximum of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, depending on the weather. I really like to meet new people and introduce them to Greece history. I practice karaté (three times per week) and would be happy t...

Devon - We would love some help with the garden, clearing, weeding, strimming and mowing, tidying, tending our vegetable garden, chopping firewood, fencing, general repairs. Helping with chickens. Some house cleaning on wet weather days. Sometimes the work outside can be quite heavy so you must be strong and fit, and willing to work in all weathers! We live in the South Hams of Devon - an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are a retired couple but still run our musical instrument repairs business and we are always in need of some help. We love to play traditional folk music in local pubs and also for morris dancing. We live in an old cottage in a village with a coffee shop and a pub. We are looking for someone to help who is strong and able and thoroughly practical. We have 2 ‘rescue’ dogs - a friendly terrier and a Romanian street dog who takes a little while to get used to new friends. We anticipate help for approx 5 hours per day, with a 15 min tea break, so overall 2...

We are looking for LONG STAYING (min.a month) friends welcome to share our life. We prefer a couple or two friends since we are living in a forest where there is no bars or shops (so please beware of this, if you are a city person) almost 5 km away from the village, it needs about 40 minutes walk. We live in a small village and we have rooms for our guests. We are renting the stone house as self catering .We have two wonderful German Shepards, so you must be dog loving people. Our place is 700 meters above sea level. Our place lies in a cool valley under the ancient Lycian site -Cadianda- and is surrounded by thick pine forests fed by mountain streams tumbling down the rugged hillsides. This is an ideal location for someone who wants the enchantment of rural life but also the opportunity to visit the pretty harbour town of Fethiye and Calis Beach, just 20 minutes drive away; with Oludeniz and Dalaman airport also within easy reach. Access to the main resorts is easy, by car, dolmu...

We purchased this beautiful château in the Loire Valley in 2013 and with HelpXers like yourself, we worked tirelessly to renovate it, taking it from its dilapidated state to the current splendour of a modern 21st century castle. There is still a large space to renovate, as well as finishing touches all around the château, so we get excited if you have trade skills to offer. We have availability for you throughout the year and are keen to book interested people, like yourself, in for longer periods anytime over the year. We ask a minimum stay of two weeks with us, but longer periods are a big bonus. We love positive enthusiastic people who enjoy all that life offers and can share that energy with those around them. If you like working in the garden or have general handyman skills...we would love to hear from you. We would also love a stonemason to join us, as we have a few stone walls to repair. And if you have experience working behind the bar or preparing breakfasts, then tha...

Available from May 2024. Greetings! I have volunteered for 10 different organisations in different countries. It started of after graduating, and since then I’ve travelled almost continuously. For the past 13 years I’ve been working on creating food forest and rebuilding a cabin. For me it has been very useful to volunteer and travel. I am open to listen to everyones needs and find solutions- maybe not the solutions you imagine, but still. I need to know your aim in life. Then we can discuss from there. Best wishes.

We, Tirza (35) and Nicki (42), have decided to say goodbye to the fast life in Amsterdam, and bought a farm with some land in Denmark. Together with our cats Ollie and Molly and our senior dog Peanut and young german shepard Lucy, we are embarking on the adventure of our lifetime and are now enjoying the back-to-nature-life on the beautiful island of Langeland, in the middle of Denmark's South Funen archipelago. In 2018 we started Denmark's first Glamping, Tiki Camp. We have in the past two years build up a small eco farm camp, are building and managing a growing veggie/herb garden and look after a hazelnut orchard with 400 trees. This old farm needs constant work too, there's always something to be done on the house or in the sheds. To top it all off, we also have a bunch of lovely chickens as well as 3 small rescue mini pigs and 6 rescue sheep. And we also just had a little human added to our farm tribe. Since we're both social people who like to travel ourselves and meet new peo...

Welcome to a ittle corner of heaven. NB Diversity-friendly – all welcome. . Come and do the Timewarp in Transylvania... It's a little bubble of rural paradise, 1,000m up in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania, where villagers still use horses and carts, make hay with scythes, use traditional smallholding skills and have a simple way of life. I'm Arabella, a British writer who moved to this mountain hideaway in 2010. I share the place with Hobbs, Buster, George, and Mouse - my clan of happy cats. The neighbours' dogs - Haiduc and Suzi - are ridiculously friendly and love me, my cats, and any visitors who’ll make a fuss of them. YOU: You're hardy, self-sufficient and love country life; you prefer outdoors to inside; you're fit and healthy, don't need urban delights; you love animals and the natural world. This year, a clean driving licence will be valuable. My HelpXers have been all ages, from 19 to 64, and from five continents. You're a self-starter when working and don't need const...

In northern Spain, on the CAMINO DE SANTIAGO, we are running an albergue/ hostel for pilgrims, for the 7th year in 2024. It is located right ón the original Camino Primitivo, so pilgrims will pass here on their way to Santiago de Compostela. If you want to be a part of a wonderful Camino-experience in 2024 (apr - nov), please read on.. ABOUT US..: Between beautiful mountain slopes, the albergue/ hostel is situated in the heart of the small pueblo of Salas (Asturias). We sometimes have up to 35 pelgrims staying, divided into 3 shared and 5 private rooms. In high season, more than 250 pilgrims pass every day, after sometimes having walked for more than 2 weeks. Some of them will stop to relax and regain their energy. We'll support them with healthy home-made food, fresh drinks and a big smile. We will offer them a vegetarian communal diner in the evening (for which we have great reviews!!) and an energy-boosting breakfast in the morning. Some of it is donation-based (no charge), s...

Hello my name is Philip and my wife is Allison. We have a beautiful piece of land in Devon where we look after and breed alpacas. We often have beautiful baby alpacas in the summer. We have some tourism here as we have two bell tents and a shepherds hut. I like nature and the outdoors and like to have interesting conversations with any helpers we have. I am also interested in Japanese and Chinese culture. We normally only take one or two helpers at a time who will live in a comfortable lockable studio with open views of the land. We supply the food and bed linen etc. The work is five days a week and is very enjoyable and variable. It will be feeding and helping the animals as well as some light farm work, nothing too heavy. Also some tidying of the tents. Please do not use headphones to listen to music when outside because you will not hear farm vehicles. Also if you need to listen to music while outside I do not think that this is the right place for you. Please contact me with any que...

Greetings fellow travellers! My name's Daniel and some of you may recognise me from Mossy Bottom, my YouTube channel. In 2016 I bought a derelict cottage in the west of Ireland and set about transforming the acre of land into a permaculture smallholding. In September of 2023 it was time for a change, and together with my partner, Angela, and two-year-old daughter, Juno, I moved to a hundred-year-old yellow cottage set on five acres of land in the pine forests of southwest Finland. Having survived our first Finnish winter (with temperatures down to -26° Celsius), we're now in the early stages of creating a new homestead, and just like in Ireland, we need your help. Our cottage is surrounded by native forest, pine, birch and spruce, with many trails for walking, cycling, and discovering nature. It is situated on Kemiönsaari, a large island off Finland's southwest coast in the heart of the Turku archipelago. The sea is just 2km from our front door, where we have a boat for fishing trips...

Current availability is now until June. Then from September onwards. Message me for a chat 🙂 Hello! How are you? My name is Andy and I've been hosting people for years now with Helpx and other organisations. If you are seeking a true cultural exchange, want to really improve your English to a more advanced level and you are a person with high expectations of yourself or want to be around people who also want to help you, then please read on. I appreciate spending my time with people who like me want to learn more about this strange and wonderful planet we all occupy. I get on with people who are usually self-transparent, with whom I have common interests, who care about others, and like me want to continually learn more about themselves. I have learned a lot from my time hosting people and my journey continues. I am a well-educated person who believes life is a continual learning experience. I like listening to the music of most genres, watching a good movie and watching documen...

Hi everyone, We're looking for a helping hand at our place ! We have some free spots on our calendar and would love to welcome a volunteer to join us. In September, we'll need someone to house-sit and watch our dogs and cats . If you're interested in volunteering and potentially house sitting in September, send us a message! Sometimes, finding yourself lost brings you to this place. Our home gives the gift of getting alone. Allowing you to put yourself in decreased sensory input. To hear yourself again. Visitors in years gone by have found this time alone has simplified the heart and pathed the way for the journey ahead. Disconnect to reconnect and clear your mind in hectares of Spanish landscape. While we offer hosting from two weeks, we're ideal for those searching for an extended stay…a couple months sounds like a treat! We live a content and uncomplicated life, with an emphasis on zero waste. If you're up for the task and ready to take on the adventure, we would love to hea...

We are both retired and live in a converted barn in about two acres of land. The nearest town is Villefranche de Rouergue which is ten kilometres away. We have lived in France long enough to appreciate what we call proper food so. we strive to vary the diet so that no main meal is repeated for at least 14 days (unless specially requested) It may be French, it may be British, or it may be a mixture of French and British and on occasions you will taste the local delicacies We are very flexible about working hours all we ask is that in return for five hours work per day, five days a week, at a time to suit yourself, we will provide you with good healthy tasty food and a private comfortable room which has TV and en-suite facilities, If you are a couple who wish complete privacy, we could provide you with a separate self-contained apartment. Must be non-smoker and we find that feeding vegans is difficult. Please note. If you want to practice your English, then we are your ideal hosts a...

Hi everyone! Available May - October. We prefer couples, but will consider singles, especially if DIY/gardening skills are involved! ABOUT US: We're a couple, in our early 60s. Healthy, active and young at heart. We've travelled all our adult lives, done loads of helpx-type placements (mainly in NZ, UK, Thailand and SA), and we've been self-employed for almost all of our working lives (teaching, music festival boutique, and Julie is still a professional horse trainer). We have eased-off now but still seem to be pretty busy. We love being active and involved, (yoga, karate, mtb, horse training, tennis, walking, running, exploring), and we love hosting on Helpx - it's a great way to keep meeting new people, keep learning new stuff, and getting help with other stuff! We offer abundant healthy food, and a really lovely, clean, comfy, sweet home with a good vibe. There's lots to see and do locally. WHO WE WOULD LIKE TO ATTRACT: Over 25 yrs of age. DIY, semi-skilled, skilled, an...

We are originally a family of 6, I, Carina, my four daughters and my husband, Pär. Since last year all girls have, more or less, left home for further studies. My beloved Pär died three years ago after a long time with sickness. We started to welcome HelpXers to our Uddevalla home seven years ago and since then we have met so many interesting, wonderful, helpful, caring and skilled people - men and women, boys and girls, who in different ways have helped us with various practical matters, but also contributed to increase our understanding of the world and letting us become their friends - in many cases, I believe, for life! I have promised Pär to keep and care for his old home in Grundsund and it is my hope to be able to. We have, therefore, two properties to welcome you to! We offer accommodation (your own room) in one of our two homes, food and friendship in exchange for some practical help. Both indoor and outdoor help is needed and you should be prepared to do some household wo...

We love to play traditional folk music in local pubs and also for morris dancing. We live in an old cottage in a village with a coffee shop and a pub. We are looking for someone to help who is strong and able and thoroughly practical.

Small homestead in the countryside, close to beaches. We have a permaculture vegetable and aromatic plant garden for own consumption, some animals: chickens, a cat and 2 dogs, a plantation of 300 apple trees and many other fruit trees. We have cleared 1 hect. of land which in the future will be converted into a natural pond and food forest. Our home is an old stone house which we are still renovating. Helpers will have their own guesthouse. There is an opportunity for surfing, we have surfboards you can use. Our location does not have public transport to the closest town, which is 3 km away. Closest towns with public transport are Foz and Ribadeo. Activities are varied and include work in the garden and orchard, preserving fruits and vegetables, taking care of animals, wood chopping, contruction work, etc. We speak Spanish and English. We would like to meet people with knowledge of permaculture, eco-construction, renewable energy, food forest, regenerative agriculture, self sufficienc...
